>>>>> RIT TIGERS 2012-13: Clawing our way up the standings in the 2nd half

Wow that was a nail biter. There were points of that game that RIT did not deserve to still be in it. I'm glad they pulled out the W.

I'm starting to think the goalie switch is really paying off now. Ruby clearly kept RIT in the game in the first. If he gets hot, he certainly is capable if stealing games.

He's showing that he may be the player we thought he was when he was ranked by central scouting.

Who would have thought that consistent starts were good for goalies..

During the first intermission of tonight's broadcast we'll have the list of non-conference games for RIT next season.

I'm guessing Michigan is on the list ;)

I hope RIT scheduled teams that they have not played yet.

It seemed to have the opposite effect for Watson, though.

Niagara game aside, I don't think that Watson was bad - and to be fair he stabalized the position while Ruby was in a serious funk. But Ruby was highly touted coming in and I think the Tigers need someone better than just "consistant" to play the style we are used to seeing.

Figures I'll be at the Ritter tonight! Can you re-post them here after the broadcast?

I think Watson was good but had some mental breakdowns at key moments during games which finally got him pulled from net.

Nonconference games for 2013-14:

Michigan at Blue Cross Arena for Homecoming

Colgate (1), St. Lawrence (2) at Ritter Arena

Clarkson (2), Penn State (1) away games

also noted that Clarkson will be the opponent for the first game at the Polisseni Center :)

GARBOWSKY!

I knew he would start scoring eventually, glad he picked such an important weekend to start potting goals. Huge, huge, huge sweep for RIT this weekend.

Great sweep by our boys this weekend! I don't understand this team but I am sure happy to possibly get home ice in the first round!!

Also what's the deal with this new arena!? Do we have any official word on a downgraded facility? Or it is just rumor?

Great weekend sweep by the Tigers. They played great. I'm really liking the McGowan, Garbowsky, Schuler line. They are really clicking and are so fun to watch.

Heading out to the hockey city classic. Really like watching Minnesota and Wisconsin. Those games are amazing to watch since the fanbases hate each other. All teams are ranked too. Gonna be cold, but nothing like outdoor hockey. Saw Wisconsin/Michigan previously at camp Randal.

Does anyone know the specific specs on the new arena? The exact seat count and standing room count? Will there be club seating?
