Potts 4 goals came in 2 games, so I'm not sure of the impact he was making.

Two games we wouldn't have won without his four goals. I think that's pretty big.

IF RIT is going to the NCAAs and beyond...
What is "beyond" the NCAA's:confused:
Kelly Cup? Calder Cup? Stanley Cup? How does that work, exactly :p

What about the other six games? Impact: Zero

Burt has impacted only one game by my count. Guess we can afford to lose him too......

The Tiger offense can't afford to lose anybody, much less Potts. No one on this team seems to be playing the "carries team on shoulders" stud role very well, so they need all the offense they can get. Even if it is only for an occasional game. Potts at least was showing some positive movement in that regard.

Look at it this way - he currently leads the team in goals, and has the highest shooting percentage. He certainly seemed to be gaining momentum, after a strong finish to last year. Definitely a disappointment. Hopefully he can get back in February in time for the playoff push when we're trying to lock in the top seed. But the time off will hurt him, both with line chemistry and his momentum.

Re: >>>>> RIT Tigers 2011-2012 <<<<< Dreaming is Done, Time to ROAR

First off, it's amazing how much Burt is so easily dismissed. He has more impact than just his offense. He is arguably the best puck handler on the team. He is the one that teams focus on. He has the ability to draw penalties. To top that, he is one of the better defenders RIT has at forward. I think he has more impact that anyone would think just looking at the stats.

Bottom line is everyone needs to step up on offense. Certainly losing Potts does not help, as he is a threat.

I agree with all this except for Burt being "arguably the best puck handler on the team." He always seemed kinda sloppy to me in that aspect of his game...

i have to disagree with you there. i think he is clearly the best (or close to it) with the puck on the team. the trouble is more that he tries to do too much sometimes. that being said, i absolutely love seeing him skate with the puck on a penalty kill.

I agree with you. If you had to pick a negative... and he doesn't really have all that many it's that his passing skills might need refinement, as in he's not nearly as crisp and as accurate as others, but that's just serious unnecessary nitpicking.

Ok yeah, I guess I can agree. He tries to do too much with it is definitely true.

Bad news for Pinizzotto- he's out for the rest of the season because he needs shoulder surgery(he was almost ready to go, but tweaked it in practice). He only signed a 1 year contract with Vancouver, but they were really impressed with him in the preseason. I hope he gets to sign on for another year. If not, there were 8 other teams interested, so here's hoping he'll finally get his time in the NHL. What rotten luck!

I think Cameron Burt may have become the most over analyzed RIT player ever on the message board. I think Cameron Burt is one of the best players in the nation when it comes to puck handling and passing. I think he is a great player maker and he makes a lot happen. His decision making is a bit inconsistent at time, mostly though because I think he puts too much on his shoulders and tries to do so much. However I would take a player like that any day...

On the Potts Injury, it is really hard to say, he did show signs of a break out season. I thought he could def been a 10-15 goal guy, may not have the tools to be a 20 goal guy, but this is a guy who was a goal scorer in Juniors, I think there are guys who can set in for him, but would have been very interesting to see what he could do this year...

I definitely believe I saw signs of a potential break-out season.

Is this suppose to be a facetious or stupid statement?
It was trying to make a point that you apparently didn't get. I won't bother explaining it since you'd rather stoop to immature insults.

I think I got your point about as much as you got mine.

I didn't get it, either. I realize Potts had very little impact on the score sheet on those other six games, but neither did anyone else on the team (by and large). I don't see what that has to do with missing the impact he /has/ made so far this season.

New Recruit on the Heisenberg site

Alexander Kuqali-LD 11/15/11 Indiana (USHL) 6'2 208 6-3-91

Haven't had time to dig up much more as I am in a class right now, but 6'2'' 208 looks like a good size for a D-man to me.

Where does everybody find info about recruits?
