Heisenberg lists Perron-Fontaine for 2013.

Pro teams don't dress 3 goalies per game ever, and the likelihood of needing 3 in a season is pretty minuscule.

Hah! Go try telling that to Niagara from last season.

So we're at a total of 9 new recruited players to replace 8 graduating + Nick gordon, a freshman who left at the beginning of the year. My bet is that if we get any more LOI's that they are for 2013.

I heard that one of the local commitments changed his mind and isn't coming here anymore - can't remember who though.

Yep. USHR reported it a few months ago.

I don't know how "commitments" work, but a commitment sounds like a, hm, commitment? Is it purely a verbal thing and is there anything that happens to someone who decommits?

The only commitment that is absolutely in stone is the NLI (National Letter of Intent). There's a "gentleman's agreement" that if someone verbally commits to a college, you don't go after that player if you represent another college. Obviously some of the western schools (namely B1G and BHHC) want to circumvent that, and there's nothing stopping them, but if the kid doesn't sign the NLI, nothing happens aside from unhappy recruiters (or happy, whatever the case may be).

Dang, that's a shame. He would have been a fan favorite. A local guy, plus we've always been fans of players who don't fit the typical hockey player mold. http://www.indianapolisrecorder.com/sports/article_bf16cb54-f5aa-11e0-b8a6-001cc4c03286.html

Where's he going instead?

Anybody know where funding for the new barn stands?

$8 million was the last I heard, but shovels are going into the ground in the fall, funding or no funding.

AHA posted their composite schedule: http://www.atlantichockeyonline.com/schedules/2012-13

Our single game against RMU is on a Thursday. No other real surprises. We have two Canada games over Christmas break - I would assume they are still trying to schedule 2 more.

That Wednesday night game at Niagara is ugly.

I do like finishing the season against Canisius.

Why would they need any more? They already have the full 34 NCAA games plus 3 exhibitions. Isn't that enough?
