Good heavens, man, we've only tried twice so far. This is not the time to get saddled with the "can't win the big game" label.

I agree. I also think this year could be differant due to RIT being a much better defensive team than in past years.

As for lower teams that could cause havoc in the tournament, 3-7 seeds could make noise. Holy Cross could win a game or two in the first round, but I don't know if they can win both. That said, since they would likely face RIT (again) in the first round, I'm hoping they will not be able to win a game at the Ritter.

Yeah I was gonna say in an earlier post it looks like RIT is lining up with them again. Frankly I would rather play anyone else in that first round. While RIT has pretty much dominated the series losing to a team every year in the playoffs could be highly motivating to HC and some make RIT over confident.

As far as RIT's defense as long as they stay focused the team is very dangerous. However, as highlighted by the loss to Bentley, if they get off their game we don't have the offense to make up for it.

Don't forget there is a public vote so help Dan make up some ground.

And you can vote once per day, so let's help the guy out!

I have this feeling that UCONN might just upset Holy Cross. But the thing is I would not consider the #1 seed RITs without at least a spilt this weekend against Sacred Heart. The Pioneer have a much easier remaining schedule. I think they are going to catch Air Force. Eitherway, I believe this year Atlantic Final Four will be excellant games...

I really hope we don't look past Sacred Heart this weekend. They're on a quiet 12 game unbeaten streak...

How could you look past Sacred Heart, the are the hottest team in the conference right now and on pace to finish second, if Sacred Heart can get a sweep of RIT they have a shot at the regular season title...

A big 2 points with the win for RIT tonight. And it was the big guns of FAvot and Brenner scoring the bulk of the goals. DeMike rebounded nicely for the win.

Hope to get the sweep tomorrow.

RIT showed their true colors last night beating a hot Sacred Heart team. I dont know why people are saying it looks like we are going to be lining up with Holy Cross again, we are either playing UConn or American International. There is no doubt RIT is easily the best team in Atlantic hockey this year. When they play their best, they cannot be beaten. Its too bad they lost last Saturday to Bentley, it was a poor effort losing to a mediocre team that just lost to AI last night.

UConn or AIC would have to win their play in game first. In AHA playoffs, 7 plays 10 and 8 plays 9 for a play in game (single elimination), and then 1st place plays the lowest remaining seed for the best of 3 quarterfinals. Assuming 7 and 8 won play in games, the first place team would play 8...Holy Cross

Glad to see the Tigers walk into The Milf and win by 3. According to the boxscore, it looks like there was a large crowd by Sacred Heart standards, which makes it extra impressive since I've seen the Pioneers play with some extra mojo in front of their home crowd. I'm going to try to make it out there today for the game. Hopefully, less kids who look like they belong on the Jersey Shore this time ;)

You'd never know it by looking at the front page of USCHO. No mention of the longest active unbeaten streak getting snapped. We didn't even get a recap, even though Canisius-UConn and Bentley-AIC did.

And the D&C hasn't published a full recap, even for home games, in a very long time. Just two or three paragraphs, every game, like clockwork.

When the Sports Section is 5 pages, what do you expect? Besides, RIT plays better when the D&C barely pays attention.

And as for USCHO, that depends on if there is a correspondent there. (Yea I know Lerch was there, but he sounded like he was broadcasting hurt so I wouldn't have expected from him).

Sacred Heart scores to make it 4-3 with 14:49 to go in the 3rd.

I guess the Tigers score - missed it. 5 - 4 Sacred Heart with 7 mins to go.
