So there is a 74% chance we will take 1st. Sacred Heart has a 19% chance and Air Force a 4% chance. I'd say we're looking pretty good.

Believe it or not Sacred Heart has a slightly higher probability of winning the tournament, not sure how that works....

I really hope we don't look past Sacred Heart this weekend. They're on a quiet 12 game unbeaten streak...

I guess people are slowly starting to notice, since they have more points than us in the latest poll. C.J. Marottolo has a major inside track on AHA Coach of the Year.

I saw Sacred Heart against AIC. They are a very fast team that was relentless - they never backed off at any moment. They were very fun to watch.

I would expect some great games against RIT

Nice story on Tiger recruit Michael Colavecchia out of the Lindsay Muskies of the CCHL (OPJHL). Covers a bit of his decision making process in settling on RIT.

http://thecchl.com/view/cchl/cchl-news/news_9342

The story is a little dated but since returning to the Muskies lineup after a 2month injury layoff, he's tallied 12 pts (4g,8a) over 13 games, including a 4a night against Pickering last week. On the year he's got 9g,20a over 22games and is sitting at a +10.

Can't afford to look past anyone at this point. They gave RIT two tough games at the Ritter. I expect more of the same at their place. Getting out of there with more than 2 points will be an accomplishment.

looks like he has something to offer.. it mentioned about him getting a scholarship? I'm pretty sure he got academic scholarships since rit can't give athletic scholarships due to its D3 standings within ncaa, but looks like a nice pickup.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2009-2010 <<<<< Rockin' The Ritter For Another Year

Interesting facts:

All of RIT's games this year against the AHA's top 3 other teams (Sacred Heart, Air Force, and Mercyhurst) have been decided by one goal, with the only exception being an empty netter against Sacred Heart.

RIT is 4-2-0 so far against Sacred Heart, Air Force, and Mercyhurst this year.

RIT could go 0-4 against Air Force and still win the regular season title.

Most Junior teams put the "scholarship" spin on every one of their players that find a place on an NCAA team, DI, DII, or DIII. After all they are trying to sell themselves to future players and look good to their communities.

Colavecchia sounds like a good one, although his numbers this year won't be too impressive with the loss of so many games to injury. What I've read makes it sound like he is a quick high skills guy. Hopefully he'll become the creative sniper we've been missing for a few seasons.

(Hey, RIT, lets NOT try to rig the voting this time please, it never ends up working out for us and only makes us look bad, thanks)

Lets hope he's unable to participate because the Tigers are playing. Hey, I can dream can't I. :) :)

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2009-2010 <<<<< Rockin' The Ritter For Another Year

I think RIT has a good chance to win the division but there are about 3 other teams that can knock the top teams off. Holy Cross, which hasn't scored alot ,has a very good defensive team,Mark Znutas being a Jr.and the rest of the defense being Sophomores and Freshman.HC scored well against AF and if they can continue to score, they can be a team that pull off some upsets. They are better than their record shows...and they have played really well agains RIT,especially this year. RIT seems to be that team that no matter how good they play in the regular season...they can't win the league title...or even get to it.

Good heavens, man, we've only tried twice so far. This is not the time to get saddled with the "can't win the big game" label.

He's a setup man, not sniper. I havn't looked through all the recruits stats but when someone has like 45 goals and like 5 assists thats a sniper. Anyone who comes in with like 5 g and 30 assists either is always lookingto pass first or their shot isn't great but someone else drives the net and bangs it in or combination of both. See Scott Gomez and Joe Thornton, in the NHL, compared to say "Ovenchicken" :)

Plus in the article he says he is a setup guy :)
