The Bangles – Manic Monday
- Check Magic Points Numbers. If my memory serves on tie breakers, 2 more Tigers Wins will give them home ice in the quarters. For the Regular Season title and #1 seed will take about 6 points. They cannot clinch this weekend due to Air Force not being in action. It’s practically all but over at this point. I think Wayne Wilson just shot me a dirty look. But it is going to take two sweeps for anyone to catch RIT. It hard to imagine Army and Canisius doing that, and Air Force would have to sweep at the Ritter.
Minor Nitpick. With only 6 points Sacred Heart could still tie RIT. Not sure who would be tops on tie breakers. 7 points are needed for an outright win. Unless SHU decides they want to drop another game.
Presumably head-to-head and the Tigers are 3-1 against SHU.
Here is the tiebreaker for two or more teams:
1. Points head-to-head...2. Goal differential head-to-head...3. Conference wins...4. Goal differential - conference games...5. Goals allowed - conference games...6. Goals scored - conference games.
Points head-to-head is the first tie breaker.
From AHA:
I don't really agree with this. While these tie breakers do tell you who is better between the two teams, the conference tournament is not about the better of two teams, its about all 10. Hypothetically, if we split against AF next weekend, and then we tie in points for the conference again, they would be the first seed, having the 3-1 record against us. But, I would think we are the better team in the conference, because we have more wins than they do. AF has 6 ties, where we currently only have 1. How can a team who has fewer wins, more losses, and more ties, be considered the top team? I think the first tie breaker should be conference record, followed by head-to-head record.

Something is up with those stats his +/- is 0 for each line. Since he is a defensemen I really want to see those numbers unless of course he just happens to be even every single year for every single team
It is interesting to see a large number of players coming from the BCHL. What happened to that pipeline with the Green Bay gamblers though?
Few amateur officials anywhere have paid as many dues as Feola, who managed to make non-NHL officiating a full-time job from 2000-2007, not an easy feat. He worked an average of 24 days a month, popping up everywhere.
ECAC. Hockey East. Atlantic Hockey Association. AHL. Junior hockey leagues. High schools. He was driving an average of 4,000 to 5,000 miles a month.
"I made myself available for everything," Feola said. "Harvard on a Friday, UConn on a Saturday. I'd leave at 8 a.m. on a Friday and get home at 1 a.m. on a Sunday evening. The tires, they don't last long.
As a player, Feola stood out even at 5-foot-7 for his fluid skating ability, toughness, and dog-after-a-bone work ethic. He was a 100-point career scorer at both Gates Chili and Elmira College where he led his team in assists one year and was part of four consecutive NCAA teams (1991-94) for coach Glenn Thomaris.
Feola even played a year of professional roller hockey in California.
As an official, however, his goal every night is to go unnoticed, something that comes natural for the unassuming Feola.
"The best compliment an official can get is when the game is over and nobody knew you were out there," he said. "People come to games to watch the players not the refs. It's certainly an art form and a lot of guys are good at it, and some aren't that good and you know who they are."
As far as the Gamblers pipeline, He's working as a assistant coach for the Tigers. It's been 2 years since Insalaco was with the Gamblers. Chances are all the guys he worked with are now gone.
I did not know he was a star player at Elmira.
In light of the recent announcement on the changing of the calendar system, anyone have any opinions on it from a hockey standpoint?
