Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Serve one up for the Happy Hockey Bar!

If only they hadn't given up the two garbage time goals, I'd be tapdancing through the f-ing tulips.

Both teams I follow swept this weekend. SCSU did so unexpectedly. MN would have been shame-on-ice to not sweep this weekend. It's been a good weekend of hockey. :)

Oh, and I just ordered a pair of glasses online for the first time ever. From what I can tell, paying $88.90 for a pair of glasses that would have cost $250-300 in a mall store like Lens Crafters, Pearle or Vision World. Now I just hope they fit.

Someone in my apartment building is smoking A LOT of marijuana right now.

I know it's decriminalized here, but JFC.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! sunday. day of rest.
Still clinging to the last dregs of my chocolate milk at the HHT. It was so long between wins that I can't get over the shock.

Lil's team won the Ididrod up at camp. Human dog sled race. Haven't heard the details because no electronics allowed but the chaperone posted on FB. Talk about changing times :D

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Rsjen is in your building?

Or Donald DTP?

HHT, I guess. Although it WAS Tech. And we had to leave early and miss the stick salute.:( The game was a late start and went forever due to all the penalties and goal reviews. Kid has practice at 8:15 AM today so needed to get him to bed.

PW playoffs start next Saturday. We lost another fair play point due to another CFB so we finish in 2nd instead of tie for 1st. (we would have lost the tie-break anyway)

Perhaps it's a pain-paralyzed senior citizen who has tried every other type of medicine possible for their non-specific back pain, and who sees no other option.

Either that, or it's a twenty-something with a habit and a very sympathetic (or willfully gullible) doctor!

1980s movie quote trivia: "Smoke up, Johnnie!"

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

its probably a very good thing I didn't come in here and post last night. shmammered doesn't really begin to describe my drunkenness last night.

get to go over to hobey baker rink next weekend for atleast 2 games. that will most likely be the end of the season, but who knows.

S'upp y'all

In billyrica. The boys mite team is playing a select girls team. I forecast a running clock middle of the 2nd. I'll have to hold in my "you got beat by a girl!" temptation on the ride home :)

This made me laugh. Lil missing 3 games this weekend while up at camp. Not missing the rink one bit.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Just back from church. Put on a pot of coffee to brew. No breakfast just yet as we're meeting friends later this morning for brunch. Have a good day folks.:)

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Back from church too. Only 20 people managed to brave the snow. (Way less than usual). Service later will be full. Came home, browsed the Board, browsed FB, Found out my niece had a baby but no one told me  maybe yesterday. Later going to BJs (the warehouse club, not where commies mind is going) while Mr sits and reads the paper.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

girls were way to selfish (go figure). they all tried one-on-XXX and the boys only lost 7-4. joe scored his first goal of the year, which was neat. funny, but the one time a girl with the puck looked to pass, it was on a 3-on-none and they messed up the pass.... just goes to show.

had a treat trying to get lunch for the boy after the game. asked what he wanted, he said, "french fries.... and a milkshake." -that it?- "and chicken selects".

ok, mcdonalds.

i go and during my order the box tells me his shake machine doesn't work... i pull away and go across the street to bk. they have shakes, joe wants a shake.

i order. they said they have shakes. i get two. chicken and fries for him. coffee for sil. ...and that italian chicken sangy just looks good-and add a diet coke for me. so i drive around. pay (with a hundy, get lots of change). talk with joe - dude opens the window and tells me his shake machine is broken. "do you want anything else?" -no- i tell him, -in fact i don't want anything-. this goes over his head and he starts to hand me my large diet coke. -no, i don't want anything. please give me my money back-. "uh, oh..." i wait. at least come back with 5 free shake coupons or something... they have a couple bags of waste product here destined for the garbage. some woman shows up with my hundy. fair enough. i count out the change i got and hand it over... there is a wendy's next door with frostys, so i'm set. right??

we go to wendy's... the box asks how it can help me. i ask, "do you have frosty's today?". yeah. ok. couple orders of chicken. fries. two large frostys, vanilla. ohandican'thelpmyself, throw in a double with cheese too. thanks. drive up and give a girl my well circulated hundy. door closes. pause. door opens, "do you have anything smaller?" huh? my bill was almost $20. this isn't 1965. what is the avg bill here? you move $100 every 7 cars easy...

"no"

"ok" door closes.

door opens - "the safe is on time delay, it'll be 15 minutes."

"forget it" -zzzzooooom away.

there is another mcdonalds near the hospital 5 mintues away.
no problems there.
milkshake
coffee
diet coke
food.
---of course i gave them the right amount ;) (wasn't pushing it at this point).

Sweep.
Free drinks from Bootlegger's Hot Manager again.
bbdl gets 3-4 numbers, later becomes a casualty of war at Perkins (in the style of GLM: bbdl at least made the tile)
Free Irish Car Bombs because the bubble hockey was broke.

It was a fun night.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

mookie, this is why you ask for small bills when at the bank. You know, fifties and twenties.

i have some of those... but if you are carrying a couple hundy in total and they are all $20 it gets bulky. so i tend to have hundys inside my wrap.

this morning i only had one $20 and three fins, along with five or six $1s -- so i was looking to make change for the week.

oh well....
