Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

here's hoping the Sioux beat Bemidji today and gmann gets stuck with his inlaws. :D

That cut deep. Real deep. :p

And I hope that you don't forget to turn on the auto pilot when you kick back to take a quick nap this afternoon at 40,000 feet. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Congratulations to Nebraska-Omaha on its win versus Denver last night. Yet another late-season funk continues to plague the Pioneers who are now 3-4-0 in their last seven games. The Pioneers are continuing an approximately five season trend of playing poor hockey late in the regular season as the playoffs approach. Goalie Adam Murray's performance last night was one of many Denver shortcomings. For the second Friday evening in a row the Pioneers allowed two short handed goals.

On the subject of "Sometimes It's Just Not Your Night," the Mavericks won 5-2 and Denver defenseman David Makowski was a minus five for the game. Ouch. I hope Denver plays a better brand of hockey this evening and can earn a win. Have a good rest of the weekend folks.:)

You could copy and past some UMD players names and had the same post for us last night.

Now that is harsh. Either they lose and the in-laws disappear or they win and he gets the in-laws. Interesting to see which one he would pick :D

Heading to the Mecca tonight, then SENANICANS time. Realized that in the past 3 years or so, I've been to more MTU games than MN games. Hopefully tonight will bring yet another bizarre story, although this time I hope it doesn't involve tasers.

As long as it isn't me being tasered, I consider it hilarious and awesome.

Edit: Tasered or tased? I can't find a definitive answer. Probably because it's derived from an acronym.

Does it really matter?
I mean, as long as when you hear the snap of the taser and you're not the one on the wrong side of the juice, it's all good, right?

Hey, same here. I've only seen my team twice this year, and I've seen faaaaaaaaaaaar too many MTU games for my liking.
Hi, Lodge. I'm sick, and not the fun, "I had an awesome night last night" kind, or the "someone slipped one past my five hole" type. Straight up nasty cold, combined with not eating enough this week. I passed out in the bathroom at work after I reacted badly to some DayQuil. :( Great impression on your 3rd day, eh? :(

Get better. :(

The games that have tipped the scales in MTU's favor were the trip up to UND last year, and the SCSU games over the past couple years.

Yeah, blacking out is rarely considered a good thing. Hopefully your new coworkers don't think you're a headcase. ;)

coulda been worse... my niece (85lb skinny a-girl) worked at staples last summer. they all wear those drive-through headset as part of their uniform. she goes into the bathroom and starts playing trumpet (:D), after a couple notes she hears, "ah, is someone in the bathroom?". :D :D :D

Oh, goodness. Yeah, that might win.

that's why there's two of us. :D

in all seriousness, I hope your in-laws get hit in the face with a sockful of pennies

similar thing happened to Quiz about a week and a half ago. She had just finished putting away something and blacked out. They made her go home.

And if it makes you feel better, I attempted to run for the first time in a week and I'm still definitely congested. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Les; Re your rep. I am working on it!

Why does UMD insist on fading down the stretch? Still sadly optimistic...
Maybe because they don't have any Ballers on the Hockey team there in Duluth. Having Ballers on the football team has worked out pretty well for them the past couple of years. :p

HAHAHAHA!!!

Slow day here, not doing much but just kinda scoreboard watching, seeing where everybody in the GLIAC is going to be going next week. 1-5 in the conference are all up for grabs, and they might have it all sorted out by the time NMU tips off with Saggy tonight at 6. NMU's not going anywhere, saggy is in as the 8th team. Lake State lost to Findlay, which means Ferris has to beat GVSU I believe to earn the top seed. Michigan Tech is in at #6 and is just about to earn a win at Northwood.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Well, I ended up shooting a 563. Given all that has happened in the past 72 hours or so, I'm pretty happy with that. I started off great, but lost some focus and wasn't quite calm enough for the last 40 shots or so. Wasn't a huge mess after the match, but I did sit down and reflected on my collegiate career and everything recently and almost lost it, but maintained my composure.

We also ended up winning the championship in a decent upset. The favorite's were beat by both us and another team.

Probably going to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner and the start of what will become a drunk night. Went to Red Lobstah last night. Headed back to school tomorrow.

Dear Hockey Gods: Please let the results of tonight's games result in SLU travelling to Princeton, Quinnipiac or RPI for the 1st round so I can watch hockey next weekend in person. Thanks.

Pick your head up... according to your own school you're one of the captains (unless there's more than one of you upstaters)... I know things are rough... but man... if there's a time to be excited and proud its now... your team finished as champions.
