Morning Lodge.

Hey mookie, my kid was asked out yesterday by a girl at school. She's (apparently) Chinese and, according to my wife, gorgeous, polite and very smart. I remember her as being kind of cute, but I guess she got more cute over last summer.

While my suburb is generally pure white bread, there are many adopted children in my kid's school. During a window of about 8-15 years ago, there were a whole bunch of Chinese girl babies adopted by local couples. Since the Chinese can only have one kid and they all wanted sons, they dumped the daughters.

You could go to Ridder to see the consolation bracket. That arena is better for girls hockey anyway as the X is too empty when the girls play there. Or you could go to the X to see Edina girls play, couple sisters of my kid's current and former teammates on that squad.:)

Funny you mention that, I'm fairly certain that as of late last night, I'm now in a relationship with a Korean girl I've been after for a while. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Howdy Lodge. So there is a work event in Minneapolis on Tuesday, April 5th. I have already booked my flight for the 6th. There may be some possibility I would head there for this work event. Need to see if I could book a flight that work would pay for and then would need to find lodging for Tuesday night. And then take the flight I booked using my miles and see if I can trasfer it to another place and time. Hmmmmmm.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

So I'm considering a purchase that will bring me a significant amount of scorn. I'm looking at joining The Cult of Apple and getting an iPad.

It'd actually be a pretty good buy for me, as it's something I could take on long flights on travel with me (my current laptop, while a good one for computing purposes, only has about a 2-hour battery life.) I'll probably get one without the 3G, since I'm set on a cell phone at the moment.

Should I pick up a 1st gen at bargain price or wait for the iPad 2 due out next month? Or should I wait and get a Verizon iPhone next year when my contract is up? Or should I take the nuclear option and get a Macbook?

All of this just to play Angry Birds?

You know its Android compatible now, so you don't have to do this! :D

Nope. No offense to any Lodge members - but I am not driving down to cityslickerville to watch a 9-12-4 girls team play high school hockey.........I might make a trip to butt****egypt, ND this weekend to watch BSU smoke the Fighting Flicker Riders. :p
