Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

and the verdict is...?
(I'm surprised you eat shellfish)

It was good, but I didn't care for the Whoopie Pie. :)

I was brought up eating shellfish but not pork products, and I continue that way. I don't now how that happened.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Just for that I'm going to get some scallops and shrimp for dinner tonight. I didn't realize shellfish was an issue like pork? I guess its not as you eat it but in general

Yes, it is not allowed at all.

Ralph, I would NEVER question you jewish'ness!!! :D

Did I say that you did?

I know we're talking DC/east coast pricing here, but at $15 a pop from a food truck, that roll had better contain a lotta lobstah. ;)

Compared to other sources around here it does. Considering the line that they get, others must agree. BTW, due to a quirk in the DC tax laws, food trucks don't charge the 10% restaurant tax which also keeps down the cost.

Did a ride along with my brother to just north of Adrian, lotta ice out that way.

And does anybody want to see what the Whitecaps might be offering up to eat this summer??

Whitecaps new food item poll.

Voted for the Big O sandwich. The walking spaghetti was too much, and I don't want celery sticks at a ball game.

Afternoon, Lodge. Got some beef tongue simmering on the stove right now, and I'm trying to figure out what to serve with it. Maybe roasted turnips, parsnips, and potatoes.

I gotta say, I love good stadium food (Hebrew National dog, loaded fries/nachos, etc.), but those just turn my stomach.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

So, are all the inlaws still alive? Apparently you are, and not jailed yet.

Everybody is fine. Believe it or not I am Mr. Niceguy. I said my piece almost two years ago and I have not spoke about anything since. I don't argue, I don't offer my opinion, I don't point fingers. Not worth it. My BIL has multiple issues that are quite significant and my inlaws spend more energy playing soap opera with mrs. g and myself. Meanwhile, their son is deteriorating before their eyes and its my fault.

I was very close to making the trip down to the X today to watch Alex play Warroad. Decided last minute to bail. I will go when they play for all the marbles................not gonna happen.

Yeah, that walking spagetti deal looks like something you would want to split at least in half, maybe into thirds. I am kind of surprised at how well the healthy veggie option is dong there. You just don't really see that kind of stuff at sporting events.

I am thinking of going down there for my hometown's game tonight. Since our boy's team blew donkey balls this year. We have a freshman girl that leads the team in goals, with 41, in 25 games. I think she might be D1 bound...
