Mornin' Loj.

Get well soon, les and MEUSA.

Solidified plans last night so the Mrs. and I can get out hiking this weekend. We haven't shared the woods together since July, since she was carrying lil' Rocket then. Hoping our bodies can handle it. Also hoping to make it home in time to watch some foosball.

s'upp y'all...

slightly better, but didn't want to infect co-workers so stayed home another day. am able to eat more than dry white toast.;)
glad you aren't yaking.

Wow, did you actually get an appointment??? That's great!!! I just called my doctor again as I feel my primary care physician should see me and this all-encompassing rash (which flared up again overnight so I'm home today waiting for the meds to kick in) and let her know what happened at the Emergency Room. Nothing available till Friday. That's 2 days away. Un-*ing real. I feel like calling the White House to get an appointment with the President and bet I could get in to see him faster.

On a serious note - I hope you feel better. Have you been taking anything?

From the other side- exactly what is the Dr going to do? You are treated and less than 24 hours have gone by for the med to work. It takes at least a day or so for the med to do its job. Unless you don't think the ER dr was on the money you are just going to go in, get exposed to all the ****e that is in the waiting room and get a pat on the head. If you were way worse then they are making a boo boo.

-me too.

-yeah. if i'm sick my primary (who is also my specialist) will squeeze me in or have his nurse see me, but they don't hand out meds like pez. he'll tell me go take tylenol and rest. i learned after two trips to stop wasting his time  :p . when i'm sick, he'll see me in the hospital. other than that......

Yeah, gotta go with a large helping of water before going to bed. Personally, I think its a little better if you nurse the water a bit, because just staying up will keep your metabolism up and help you burn off the boose more as well. But yeah, enough water to were you gotta pee right before you go to bed is about ideal. Water or Lemonade.

This is what I usually do. After the Saturday night out during the Tech/MN series, I waited a full hour and an entire large glass of water before I went to bed, and IIRC I was fine in the morning.

Good Morning Boys!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! wobbly wednesday is here.

Happy Birthday Boosh!

He is brilliant, did we know that? I have completely lost track of that stuff.

Hangover cure now- incapacitating migraine for about 3 days. If I drink anything I get one so bad I feel like dying. Haven't had more than a sip of alcohol in about 2 yrs because of it:mad: :( :(

Wow. That's unfortunate. :(
And I didn't think Boosh was brilliant, I've never seen him post on this side. Then again, do we really need another Techie in here? ;)

I need a ride to the doctor. Not looking forward to going (I hate doctors) but since I can't shake whatever it is I have, it's time for some professional help.

:( Hope it gets sorted out and you feel better soon!

I'm ready for exam week at the local schools to be over. This whole no subbing thing is getting boring. Then again, in about 6 weeks I'm going to be begging for any kind of time off, probably...

Yup... not until 11:30 but I got one.

I feel like calling the White House to get an appointment with the President and bet I could get in to see him faster.
I hear some people can see him without an appointment!

Thanks. Since I at first thought t was the flu I've been doing copious amounts of NyQuil and Tylenol for the fever. Yesterday, something else appeared that I won't go into gory details about, but it's safe to say I now feel I have some kind of infection roaming through my body.

At least that's what a couple of hours searching the web have led me to believe. Combine that with the reaction I got from the nurse on the phone this morning and I think we have a winner. I've decided it's best to let the good doctor decide (and it gives him a chance to yell at me for not seeing him in a couple of years).

I know, I know... I need to start worrying more about my health as I'm fast approaching that magical age. It's just that I really hate doctors, lab procedures, waiting rooms, and the like. Heck, I haven't even seen a cute nurse in I don't know how long!

To everyone else under the weather today, I feel your pain and hope you all feel better soon!

Whoa! Don't take this the wrong way, but I thought you were much younger than you are. And, I agree with you on the doctors thing, but as I'm literally halfway to where you are age wise, I can dodge them easier for a bit longer. Feel better!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

ok I have a very important question for the Lodge.

Cable internet or DSL.

DSL is 20 bucks cheaper, I will not be getting cable, I may get a lane line at some point.
Should I just pony up for the more expensive cable internet as it will be my only source of entertainment. Is the quality of service noticable between the DSL and Cable.

I ask because I never had DSL before, and the Cable internet at my parents house was pretty crappy.

Well first off, I didn't actually see a doctor in the ER. I saw a Physician's Assistant. The doctor came in for about 15 seconds, shook my hand and left. I got fine treatment in the ER - the PA was great and she came up with the course of treatment that the attending just OK'd. But she's my PCP and I would like to meet with her since, well, she is my doctor and I have something wrong with me. I want to talk to her about this - discuss the course of treatment they provided and what I should do if it doesn't get better, etc. Why are you questioning that? It scared the **** out me to wake up yesterday to see this all over me and I want my doctor to treat me/see me in person rather than trading voicemail messages. So to answer your question what is the doctor going to do? I'm hoping she does her job.

i've had dsl for a couple years and outside of when the power is out (one time at night a couple months ago), i'm fine. (though i suppose if the power was out the cable wouldn't work either) i don't do anything special with it with big download/upload files that you may use with the camera so i don't know how that works, but no problems

Good morning Lodge.

Sitting around home waiting for Comcrap. 4 hour windows are pathetic. Then just got a call saying he thinks he'll be here between 12-1, "is that ok?" I should have said "no". I wanted to say "no". But at this point I've already sat around since 8, what's another hour?

Hope all the ill Lodge members get better soon

There is nothing wrong with DSL and there really is no reason to go with Cable unless you're bundling. DSL is quite suitable for streaming video or downloading torrents. I've had it for over a year and never noticed any reason to complain (once we figured out there was something wrong with the phone line outside the house). The big thing you may have to do is reset the modem every once in awhile to maximize speed if you notice a drag. Its definitely not worth the extra $20/month to get cable.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

Nope, I'm old enough to be your father! I just try to act younger! :D

I don't know why, this is a fairly straightforward statement, but it really creeped me out. :p

Morning, Lodge. Another day of eventfulness on the horizon - not eventfulness like this weekend, fortunately! :o

Yeah that is one of the things I am concerned with, but then again, the upload too forever on the Comcast Cable in Bridgewater, so who knows if cable is any improvement over DSL. I will be watching Netflicks via online and the handful of TV shows I do watch.

I would say that would be a vote against Comcast. :)

Hmmm good to know.
I really dont watch that much TV. If they still offered basical cable for $10 bucks I might, but I think now basic is 20 and well right now I dont even own a TV.
So looks DSL is looking good so far.
