Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

I'm with the one that brent said earlier, always works for me: 20oz gatorade, monster, and some ibuprofin.

THAT'S what I was looking for. Not aspirin. And it doesn't matter what kind you get (I get the generic kind, because, hey, it's the same stuff as the name brand, just cheaper).

I've felt like the droppings from a Fooper after a night of Taco Hell and Pabst, and after that hangover cure, I felt right as rain.

After being drunk for 14 hours on saturday, I woke up sunday with no hint of a hangover, and didn't get one all day. Must have been parise's way to say that he understood why I got drunk and he wasn't going to punish me for it. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

Brent said it, I'll say it again: the key to beating a hangover is good old dihydrogen monoxide.

Before going to bed, fill the biggest glass you can find with water and down that sum*****. Refill it and down it again. And again. And again. As much water as you can stomach. If you have multivitamins or Emergen-C or whatever handy, take one.

Wake up the next morning and go get breakfast from McDonald's. Drink some orange juice if you think your stomach can handle it.

The hangover won't even have a chance to introduce itself.

I love it when that happens.

On the first tInvasion, obviously I was drunk when I first woke up, but that day totally skipped the hangover part. I think Parise smiled on me that day as well.

Flat pop (usually Diet Coke/Pepsi) and a greasy cheeseburger and/or mac and cheese.
G2 Gatorade, a Monster Khaos, and one aspirin.
Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on a bagel from DD. at home: buttered toast, water, 2 Tylenol
Taco Bell
2 cups of ginger root tea (nausea), one aspirin (headache), one banana (vitamins), then several glasses of water and some simple food, such as crackers, soup, etc.
two eggs scrambled with cheese, a piece of toast with butter. Drink a 20 ounce bottle of Gatorade.
ice cream
Breakfast potatoes
double order of Waffle House hashbrowns. Scattered covered.
20z gatorade, monster, and some ibuprofin.
As much water as you can stomach. If you have multivitamins or Emergen-C or whatever handy, take one. Wake up the next morning and go get breakfast from McDonald's. Drink some orange juice if you think your stomach can handle it.

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about.

after our antics that weekend, I think Parise just decided to forget about us

I'm switching to the policy that any relationship longer than 2 days is too long. This will be my policy for at least a year. If I stray from this, someone please slap me. Thank You!

I won't slap you, but you'll get a nice left jab. And that's if I'm pleasant. Hey, I'm a good friend, I don't want to kill ya. :D

Glass of water and Advil before bed. Gatorade in the morning.

Also, drinking anything with ice will help a little as well...

It's been a long time since I've had a hangover. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

That's my pre-hangover hangover remedy. 3am Taco Hell tastes good, somehow tricks your body into thinking it has nourishment, and somehow you feel better in the morning.
we were just talking about that in the bring out the dead thread.... :D
No, it makes sense. I think it's something about overly greasy food...
Helps bind the alcohol up and get it processed by your liver. Thats my theory on it anyways.

Well, it helps more after a night of hard liquor, and the effects of dairy aren't as strong after a night of beer, but it helps either way.

Another helpful hint: have a pint or so of room temp water sitting next to wherever you're gonna sleep. Slam that SOB right before you go to bed. MUST be room temp. Cold water is too much of a shock to your system, and you'll feel worse, if not get sick. Rehydration is the key to the cure for all hangovers.

Yeah, gotta go with a large helping of water before going to bed. Personally, I think its a little better if you nurse the water a bit, because just staying up will keep your metabolism up and help you burn off the boose more as well. But yeah, enough water to were you gotta pee right before you go to bed is about ideal. Water or Lemonade.
