Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

I can't believe this Lodge only came up with one other hangover remedy.

After my last truly awful hangover experience (summer of 08), I had this down to a science.

2 cups of ginger root tea (nausea), one aspirin (headache), one banana (vitamins), then several glasses of water and some simple food, such as crackers, soup, etc.

two eggs scrambled with cheese, a piece of toast with butter. Drink a 20 ounce bottle of Gatorade. Orange is best, but the fruit punch works as well.

I'll agree that orange is best.

And isn't it past your bedtime? I mean, you must have eaten dinner at Denny's about 6-7 hours ago. :D

Gatorade tears me up if I have a hangover. I'd much rather have McDonalds, Taco Bell or even Hardees - there really is something about that greasy * food.

Try G2. It's less sweet/thinner than regular Gatorade. I really don't like the reg Gatorade anymore because of the drastic difference.

I just sat in the hottub with a cougar. What have you done tonight? :p

Quiz is a cougar now?

And I watched a movie (blah, see the movie thread) and relaxed after a hard day's work. I actually sweat and toil at my job, ya lazy bum.

The best hangover cure I have discovered so far is have another drink or two. One guy I know back home likes to bring a bottle of orange Boone's for his breakfast juice the next morning. :D

Other than that ice cream works pretty well for me.

That gets it done too. Breakfast potatoes are also a God-send.

I'm not a huge fan of G2...but it's not horrible either.

No, it's one of our flight attendants. She's well stacked. And I'm trying to set her up with Bakunin. :D

Yeah, sitting on a forklift is real hard work. :p

Bite the dog that bit ya and kick the cat that crapped in your mouth?

(aka Hair of the Dog and Shave Your Tongue)

Now that's a new one. So, you're saying that the next time we find you catatonic on the couch, I should bring you some DQ?

That's why I said a Frosty is awesome. It coats the throat/stomach, and eases the gutrot.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

Yes! That would be awesome. You're going to be here for Carny right? :D

Yeah, I'll be there.

See, I usually don't want anything sweet, though I'll keep it in mind.

Well, it helps more after a night of hard liquor, and the effects of dairy aren't as strong after a night of beer, but it helps either way.

Another helpful hint: have a pint or so of room temp water sitting next to wherever you're gonna sleep. Slam that SOB right before you go to bed. MUST be room temp. Cold water is too much of a shock to your system, and you'll feel worse, if not get sick. Rehydration is the key to the cure for all hangovers.

This. Very much.

I'm with the one that brent said earlier, always works for me: 20oz gatorade, monster, and some ibuprofin.
