Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

Thanks. Since I at first thought t was the flu I've been doing copious amounts of NyQuil and Tylenol for the fever. Yesterday, something else appeared that I won't go into gory details about, but it's safe to say I now feel I have some kind of infection roaming through my body.
You haven't been slumming around Marquette, have you?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

I'm switching to the policy that any relationship longer than 2 days is too long. This will be my policy for at least a year. If I stray from this, someone please slap me. Thank You!
That's legit. I'll be glad to slap you.

Get what out of my system? The anger that I have at every female that I see?

...and I have to go to Vegas for that to be possible.
You have anger at me?!?
But... "not happy. at least molly and steve are good friends."

"Remember, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Except herpes. That 5hit'll come back with you."
YES. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

Just got back from the doc's. I was 15 min early and he took me right away (does that ever happen?). Took one look at my problem and said "ew... that doesn't look good. I want you to see a surgeon right away!" A real confidence booster... :(

After recovering from that shock, I now have to see a surgeon at 2:30 in the city. To say I'm a little nervous would be an understatement! This all started because I thought I had the flu... :(

No it doesn't. :(

I'd rather have bad teeth... wait! I do have bad teeth and I'm not even from Maine! :p

I'd blame the whole mess on the Q-Tips. Without that ten game horror streak the team's play wouldn't have worried you half to death. I suggest having the medical bill forwarded to Jack McDonald. ;)

Good luck with the sturgeon, er, surgeon.

Went out to dinner with the wife last night to a restaurant we've never been to (Ert'e) (wife's NY resolution was to have a non-sports date at least once a month). Mentioned it to a woman who lives in that neighborhood. She was there having a birthday dinner at the same time - not that big a place and not crowded yet we did not see each other. I think had I been sitting where my wife was and vice-versa I would have seen my co-worker, I think we were back to back across the room. Just weird.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

ok I have a very important question for the Lodge.

Cable internet or DSL.

DSL is 20 bucks cheaper, I will not be getting cable, I may get a lane line at some point.
Should I just pony up for the more expensive cable internet as it will be my only source of entertainment. Is the quality of service noticable between the DSL and Cable.

I ask because I never had DSL before, and the Cable internet at my parents house was pretty crappy.

DSL is fine if you're close to a PoP (point of presence) location. The further you are from the PoP the slower your speeds will be. A friend of mine was right next to Verizon's PoP and his speed was awesome. I've had cable Internet for 11 years and haven't really had a problem. If you are close to a PoP, go with that.

You can check the providers at dslreports.com to see if people who use the various services report any problems or variance from recorded speed vs what they pay for in their package.

Good luck, Mark! Hang in there!
(I too thought you were much younger!)

winger - I had DSL in my last apartment and it worked fine. Watched Netflix movies regularly and never had a problem.

Morning, kids! Overslept today and that is going to put a serious crimp in accomplishing everything on my to do list today! :o
