You are buying lotto tickets? You might as well just burn that money to keep warm. You'd get better value from it that way.

Lottery: a tax for stupid people.

You could buy chew.

Get the Grizz!

You know what tells me you've grown up? Whining about it.

I know. I bet at midnight she becomes all classy like us. Wait, she's a Fooper. Nevermind.

I need some advice from all you wise people in here, since a lot of you seem to give decent constructive criticism.

I haven't been living in my apt for the last month because the fire above my neighbor's apt made them keep the electricity off. However, my landlord just informed me that they've turned it back on and can move in again early next week. I've come to the agreement with her that I will not pay a month's rent. My mom also thinks that I should talk to her about getting reimbursed for my month of cable/internet also since I had to pay for that and wasn't able to use it. I'm assuming she's correct, since mothers usually are, but what do you all think?

I need to celebrate my adulthood somehow dangit. :( would you rather me buy smokes?
If you want to celebrate adulthood do the following:

- Get a full-time soul crushing job that underpays you
- Pay rent/mortgage every month for the rest of you life
- Own a car that is constantly in need of repairs you cant afford
- Over spend on 5 credit cards to become permanently in debt at 29.99%
- Have more children then you can afford to support via money and time
- Go through 2 divorces minimum

If you do all of these you will have hit all the milestones of adulthood. Congrats!

Shouldn't the cable/internet company credit you for that? Shouldn't you have called them within a few days of the issue to get that worked out? I doubt its the Apt responsibility.

I've got half of adulthood according to your list.

Also, no I didn't, because my landlord told me I'd be able to move back in within a few days. Every time I talked to her, it was always "you'll be able to move back in in a few days"...

did you buy renter's insurance?

No... I was only there for a month before this happened, I was just getting settled in... Bummer :(

It takes about 20 minutes to get renters insurance, and ideally, you would have it before moving in.

I never bought it when I was living in Houghton, though I probably should have. :o It'll be a priority for the next place I rent though.

Yes I realize it's easy to get. But I've never gotten it before as I usually don't stay in one place very long. I've moved like 15 times in the last 5 years. I guess this'll be my lesson for next time though. :o

She was still dumb not to tell her parents :D

.

Do I want to stay up another hour and a half and walk three blocks from my hotel to the gas station to buy a lotto ticket, or just wait until the AM?

Do you have some kind of valid ID that shows it's your 18th? If yes, why not, buy one of those $1 scratch-offs and have at it. No? Then no.

She'll win $100 million dollars, just to spite us.
