Attention drivers in Oakland County, MI: The white stuff is snow, it can make roads slippery, don't worry, if you don't drive like a dip**** you will be OK. If you do drive like a dip****, you will end up in the piles of white stuff like the 15 cars I saw on my way home. That said, this does not mean you need to drive like an 80 year-old woman either, because tonight's three inches hardly qualified as anything more than a dusting, no doubt contrary to your dumbarse opinion that it was a white-knuckler. In conclusion, don't be a dipsh*t, and try to drive reasonably. Thank You.

Fixed to describe my trip back from campus tonight.

Evening Lodge.

Just got home from picking up some MN-Sioux tickets for the new favorite poster to make fun of. :p

Enjoying a 7&7 this fine evening. :)
Sounds like everybody in AA today. Word was that there was a bunch of wrecks out on 94 and M14. We had a bunch of people calling in canceling appointments today. And the ones that did make it in complained of a lot of traffic backups. Today was my first day in Clinic and I did have one appointment today scheduled, but she called and cancled on me. :( But since we were so slow, I was able to work a trade in with one of the students ahead of my class and got a little more MNT work done on my neck. About wanted to crawl off the table at times but I'm liking it now. ;)

I believe that's what he said...:D

Monster, re: rep...no, I sadly was not there yesterday when this happened.

Booo!!! that sucks. But at least you can get a copy of the incident from the guys in security right?? ;)

Do I want to stay up another hour and a half and walk three blocks from my hotel to the gas station to buy a lotto ticket, or just wait until the AM?

You're really living on the edge there.

You are buying lotto tickets? You might as well just burn that money to keep warm. You'd get better value from it that way.

Just go outside and get yourself a few clients. That's a guaranteed return as opposed to the crapshoot of the lottery system. Plus you can subject your clients to a different sort of crapshoot.

I need to celebrate my adulthood somehow dangit. :( would you rather me buy smokes?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 96: What should ctf/Foxton2/jailbait do with her life?

What on Earth made you think that? :D

In hindsight, I stupidly thought that folks who make it to grad school are capable of reading a syllabus. Not to mention listening to the prof introduce the course and his expectations in what I felt was a pretty clear manner. Whoops, my mistake.

Guess I shouldn't be surprised, considering that I used to wonder how in the heck a couple of profs I've had in the past managed to get a PhD. ;)

Capable, yes. Will they necessarily do it...that's another question. I found that on the whole most people in grad school were pretty intelligent. The big thing the seperated people was the amount of work they were willing to put in, and some just aren't willing to put in the work (which includes things like reading your handouts and listening to the prof).

And yeah, I work with a few people and really wonder how anyone like that could have gotten a Ph.D.

You guys are all buzzkills.
bb_dl, ew. I chewed once, with the boys, and it was nasty as hell. Snus wasn't terrible but gave me a headache.
