Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 96: What should ctf/Foxton2/jailbait do with her life?

Why? Because you were so completely innocent when you were 17?
No, but I knew enough to own up to my mistakes. That's all I've ever asked of my kids. I know what kids do and am not naive enough to think my kids were angels. Just don't lie or hide things from me 'cause if (when!) I find out...

Let's not be hypocrites just because you're opposed to something ctf did.
First off, I don't even know her so I can't make any judgements about her. Second, I'm not opposed to anything she's done (at least as far as what I've seen here). I'm just stating what I would do if I were the parent of a 17 yr old in the same situation.

Kids need boundaries and parents need to enforce them. Yeah, I know there's a lot of parents that could use a boundary or two themselves...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 96: What should ctf/Foxton2/jailbait do with her life?

At 17, anything goes if I'm the parent.

Yup. And despite my kids considering me as being too strict, I was a hell of a lot more lenient than my parents. My mom even told me I was way too easy on the kids, in front of the kids. :D
It's all about accountability.
Mistakes are allowed to be made as long as some rational decision making was attempted. It's making the same mistake over and over that gets the hammer brought down.

ETA - accountability includes owning up to deliberately doing something you were told not to do. Immediate repercussions on that and obvious stuff (stealing, fighting, vandalism, etc.)

The rumors of my demise (at mother mining) have been greatly exaggerated!
In honor of your newly announced non-firing, I bought five pairs of gloves made with Thinsulate over the last week. The Alzheimer's woman loses gloves like most women lose DL's number.

That goes for the rest of you too. Let's not be hypocrites just because you're opposed to something ctf did.
And someday you'll be a parent and actually have a clue as to why these people wrote what they wrote, little girl.

I'm opposed to idiocy, and she's conducting her life in a very stupid manner.

Clown, I hope for society's sake ST does not have kids. Then we'll have more people that cheer for Canada over the US in this country, and they'll all have maple leaf pube patterns to boot.

She throws them into a garbage can, lights the garbage on fire, then flushes the ashes down the toilet?

She might. I don't know what happens to them. Seriously. I look at her, and there's a glove on each hand. Then we're getting into the car, and she's missing a glove. I then search for the glove, and it's nowhere to be found. So she's ditching the gloves real fast and sneakily, like women (term used loosely) ditch DL's number.

One thing they don't do is lose their restraining orders against him.

Well, yeah, but have you ever seen Idiocracy? it's the stupid ones that breed the most.

I haven't seen that. Perhaps the government can start doing controlled burns of trailer parks rather than random patches of wilderness.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 96: What should ctf/Foxton2/jailbait do with her life?

So I mistakenly assumed that graduate school classes would be free of "that guy" who asks stupid questions which have obvious answers.

How about just a controlled burn of the entire UP? ;)

Oh noes, GLM is going to throw more eggplants at us.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 96: What should ctf/Foxton2/jailbait do with her life?

Evening Lodge.

Just got home from picking up some MN-Sioux tickets for the new favorite poster to make fun of. :p

and,
Attention drivers in Minnesota: The white stuff is snow, it can make roads slippery, don't worry, if you don't drive like a dip**** you will be OK. If you do drive like a dip****, you will end up in the piles of white stuff like the 15 cars I saw on my way home. Thank You.

Enjoying a 7&7 this fine evening. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 96: What should ctf/Foxton2/jailbait do with her life?

Don't you believe all that stuff about starting with a positive attitude;)
Not really.....
That is a good one. Spaceballs is my favorite movie. It was my favorite movie even before I saw Star Wars. I love Mel Brooks movies, and have quite the collection. In fact, there a couple that I have two copies of (already had the single DVDs and then roommate bought me a collector's pack of Mel Brooks movies).
Hmmmm.... I might have to take you up on that offer. I'll assume you're going to the Western Mich game saturday? I've got Clinic that afternoon and should be able to find something to do to entertain myself for a few hours before the puck drops. ;)
The rumors of my demise (at mother mining) have been greatly exaggerated!
Groovy!

Ok DL :p

Yay! Good news!

Nothing wrong with that either. When I switch it up I'll usually go with a white russian, vodka sour or depending on where I'm at, a margarita.

Probably because you're a girl and girls always have a lot of chit... :p ;)
True. I've had a cousin who's filled a 30 foot inclosed snowmobile trailer before of all of her chit.

4-6" of snow. Not joking.
Yeah, took me over an hour to get home today from AAIMT. Wagner and Scio Church was just redictulus!!!

Soooooo guess whose parents found out about her ticket today...
FAIL!!!!

I'm guessing Foxton2's parents found out because Foxton2 doesn't know what to do. She's the MNS of Houghton.

Seriously, you're 17. Tell your parents when *t happens to you. Do they even know you're about to *s away a lot of their money because you spend more time taking in copious amounts of alcohol than taking in your studies? No they probably don't. You probably tell them everything is fine, you're the best because you skipped kindergarten, etc.

I hope they take away your car.

Bullseye. There it is. If there is one thing that I can recommend to you, it's own your mistakes and don't try to hide sh-t like that. Chances are they'll be less p-ssed about it if you own it right away rather than try to hide it from them and then confess later. Consider this the voice of experience talking.

CTF, I gotta agree with everybody else here. The Truth up front and early will always set you free while Lying until somebody else tells em about it will have the Hammer brought down on you. Fessing up that you messed up will get you a lot more respect points in the long run.

So Quiz is Barf, PB is Prince Valium and ctf and SG will run off together in a flying Winnebago?
Why would Quiz be Barf?? Shouldn't she be Dot Matrix??? Just that her alarm would be a Jailbate Alarm!! ;) :D
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!:D

Apparently the dumbest, most incompetent person I've ever worked with was escorted out of the store last night with a pair of shiny silver bracelets courtesy of the St. Louis Park Police Department.

You just might get to use TCAS (I assume the Q400 has it)!!!!!

It's a good thing that they threw a $5,000,000 Christmas party in Atlanta with rooms at the Omni Hotel for all the managers complete with an open bar.
Comparing me to Foxton2? What the hell did I ever do to you? :D

To clean his floors he'll strap mops to her hands and knees, and push her around without using his hands.
So, did you point and laugh as they were doing the Perp Walk?? ;) :D

Yup. And despite my kids considering me as being too strict, I was a hell of a lot more lenient than my parents. My mom even told me I was way too easy on the kids, in front of the kids. :D
