thought of you the other day.... my joe's game was against a team that had a "lee" and a "zhang" on the squad.

my excitement was at a fresh high to see the yummy a-girl hockey mummy's:D :D :D but then i only got to see two dudes leave with their sons :mad: :mad: :mad:

He routinely walks about 10 - 20 feet at a time now. He still has a long ways to go but I now envision him being able to run one day. (He is still working on his balance and he cannot get upright without some sort of assistance.) Looking back at the not so distant past I had doubts if he would ever be able to walk.

His speech is labored and if you are not around him much it can be difficut to understand. However, he has an impressive vocabulary and is now beginning to talk in sentences. He can count to twenty and almost knows all of his ABC's.

For Halloween he is going to be Buzz Lightyear and little gII is going to be Woody.

Miracles can happen! :)

Just received this note from SiouxFanInSeattle himself about twenty minutes ago. Great news.

...enjoying the Denver weather? Heh heh. Well I'm glad that is behind me. The surgery took about 6 hours, primarily due to an issue with the prostate being "stuck" to the intestine. But other than that, it went well. I was out of the hospital the next day, which was quite a surprise. The recovery process is going well. The pain level is much lower than I expected - in fact I have mostly taken only Tylenol. I will find out the pathology results when I get the catheter removed next Wednesday. The surgeon told my wife that he expects it to be clean. And he was able to save both nerve bundles! I'll let you know more later.

The first time I read that I saw "You'll be allowed at Lowell tomorrow night, right?" and I thought that mook got banned from somewhere.

Why did I think that Mookie was part of the Twin Cities/Minnesota contingent and not part of the New England part of things?

I know this may sound like sacrilege at the GE house, but has he looked at North Dakota? Very good Meteorology program. Also, has reciprocity with MN. Cost me less per year to go to UND then it did to go to Benilde (minus flight costs...which he won't have).

IIRC, the Twin Cities is the number one Hmong population in the nation, but am unsure. I know a LOT of the "actors" in "Gran Turino" came from the TC.

Pretty much.

I have to admit, I've learned a lot about the Hmong, since our truck-loader is Hmong. Really cool, though, he'll kid me about being "The Man" and "well, you're WHITE, so of course you can do that" and if he makes a mistake, I'll tell him to "open his eyes next time." :D
