Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

An aunt, to whom my wife was very close, died last night after a lengthy illness. Funeral arrangemnets are still pending, but we're likely headed to the Phoenix area later this week.

Sorry to hear it ASaaG, all my best to Mrs. ASaaG.

Sounds like somebody is really becoming a college student. ;)
Yeah, I don't think she's going to get much sympathy here for that in tLodge...:p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

serious post coming here...

one of my former Boy Scout troop leaders was arrested for alleged sexual assault. I was never assaulted but am very sad to hear this. :(

I hadn't thought about it in many years, but one of my troop leaders was convicted on a sex offense years after I left.

Sounds like this could be a good year for me to make my first GLI appearance.

'Morning, Lodge. Starting an 8 day stretch subbing for the government/econ teacher.
:D Its no Halloween Night game at the Valley, but eh, I'll take it.

There's a World Series of Beer Pong. :)
You say that like its a bad thing!;)

Evening Lodge. Had to take another dog to the Vet today. He just didn't have controll of his bladder anymore and really wouldn't be able to stay outside most of the day on the porch soon. Mom didn't really want to have to spend all winter cleaning up after him.

unfortunately people see an opportunity... i've had no issues with the scouts or known of no issues. Unfortunately there are people who see an opportunity to act on some awful impulses. There are good people in the scouting movement, but there is a degree of weird... both normal weird and abnormal weird. You have to be a little out of step to want to devote that amount of time to what is an unpaid after-work activity. I appreciate those who lead scouts and do so to help build the next generation of leaders but I have to imagine its a fairly demanding calling.

Does that mean what I think it means? :(
