Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

Morning!

Happy hour tonight. :D

Found out this week my group at work is being realigned. Hopefully with that comes some more money and not just a meaningless new title.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

Good Morning Lodge

Due to my new geographic location (Becker, MN), the vast majority of my coworkers are SCSU fans. Not that that's a bad thing, but my former cube had lots of Gopher Hockey paraphernalia in it. Since I'm new here, I think I'll acclimate before I start playing my arrogance card. :p

ETA - although my manager is a BSU fan with lots of Beaver Hockey stuff in his office. He did get his masters at SCSU, but remains loyal to the Beavers, and really hates the Gophers.

Morning Lodge.

I like it here. Most of the people here can take a joke and do not get easily offended.

In other news, hockey tonight!

Morning Lodge.

Almost done with this week, too bad the weekend looks like it will be miserable, weather-wise.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

The week should be over. I wish I had more vacation days. I'd be in a car with the boy headed to SC right now. He's got a big race this weekend.

Morning Lodge. Time to make the doughnuts. Er... go to work.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

Good morning, Lodge! No hockey tonight, but at least there's some booze on tap.

Also, watched Man v. Food last night, and I could really go for a colossal sandwich.

What the hell do you mean by that!!!

;)

Sorry for your loss, ASAAG.:(

Also, sorry Monster.:(

I was up on the North Shore yesterday where it started snowing like a mutha in the afternoon. Was glad we got back before things started getting slick. The worst was actually about 40 minutes south of Duloot when there was actual slush building on I35. I got worried about overpasses.

More drama on the peewee front. One kid on another team has decided to drop out (he's a second year, would be his 4th straight season of C hockey) claiming too much homework. The Liaison has suggested that my team give up a player of a comparable draft ranking and make some kind of trade. So, we get penalized because another team lost a player? So instead of one team getting hurt, two teams get hurt - how the F is that fair? All C teams have one goalie, three of the teams had 14 skaters, two had 13, we're one of the teams with 13, the team that lost the player had 14 and now would have 13. Why change anything? It's not like this kid was a top draft choice - he was mid-rank. Just leave it as is. The other teams drafted for neighborhood or for size, I drafted for hockey skill and we *may* have the most skilled team - so, the other teams had shots at the same players I did and they didn't take them. T.S.

That sucks. Just tell them no, and to deal with it themselves. If they don't like that, I can send them some cake for you.;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

Exactly. We have 13, you have 13. Shut up and play.

I have a headache and I don't want to be here.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

An aunt, to whom my wife was very close, died last night after a lengthy illness. Funeral arrangemnets are still pending, but we're likely headed to the Phoenix area later this week.

My wife and I will be flying to Phoenix late Saturday afternoon. There will be a rosary on Sunday. The funeral will be Monday, followed by a reception and then the burial. Because of travel arrangements it's likely we will not be able to stay for the burial.

Sorry ASAAG. Sorry Monstah.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

OK, it is almost 8. Where is RFAlph?

I think I remember him saying yesterday he planned on taking the day off and going for a bike ride today.

Yup, that's what he's calling it these days;) /gmann

Yup - I believe hp1015 is correct.

Morning, kids! 2 days until a one week vacation (leaving Sunday after BU-Michigan and coming back the following Sunday). Headed to Orlando with my parents, brother, and tcbg for Halloween Horror Fest at Universal. :D (did I mention that I'm afraid of the dark, didn't watch Ghostbusters until high school, and still can't watch ET? :o )

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

Let's go get drunk.

That was our decision when we left the office yesterday (the other assistant and the remaining paralegal). Two dirty martinis later I was feeling much better. Unfortunately, it seems that the paralegal couldn't handle his booze ... he's out sick today. :o

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

morning Lodge. Off for a run this morning. Think I'll stretch this one out.

Oh, and planning a vacation to California in about 2 weeks. Going to Monterey...the ring is going to get made this week.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 86: Noobs, Halloween, and Pumpkins, oh my!

SG  and awesome!

Drinking sounds good. Maybe I'll go do that after hockey tonight. I guess that means I should try to get a bunch of work done today since tomorrow I may be feeling the after effects.
