Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 84: Steal This.
My first thought was that at least you are not alone dealing with the RCs. Sorry it is that bad
Well, that would be considered working with the materials, wouldn't it?
Good morning RFAlph and wally!
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!wobbly wednesday is here
So they are doing sewer work in my area. You have to love small towns (well, it is not small anymore but the mentality is). I leave to go outta my development and there is a huge mound of gravel blocking my road. I have to do some interesting manuevering to get out of my road. As I am trying to go right a box truck is in my way coming straight at me and making not nice faces. Turns out they closed the road going right. I have to take a few mile detour and get to work late.
Later in the day I get a text from L'il- the bus driver gave him a choice of getting off earlier in the ride or waiting way later as the portion of the road with his bus stop on it is closed. He chose the first and had to walk 1/2 mile through a blasting zone
to get home.
I stopped and talked to the guy on the detail yesterday and asked when the road was going to be closed til'. He said a few weeks. I told him the story and that no one had let us know the road was going to be closed.
Poof- last night we get a community blast via email and phone about the road closing. (supposedly starting today)
Checking in. Went for drinks with my coworkers (admin staff and the 2 remaining associates - we had 4 when the first started on June 1). It was truly depressing. Every single person is looking for a new job (there are 7 of us). It was like being in group therapy, every story was worse than the previous and the physical effects of working in this environment are starting to take their toll. One of the associates had a panic attack at the office and ended up in the emergency room and came to work the next day and never told anyone he was in the hospital. Another has developed a bleeding ulcer. No one in the group is over 32.![]()

After the 10th inning this afternoon, I was ready to burn down the world. Feeling slightly better now.
You forgot "before I tear his head off and shove it up his rear end".
Well, that would be considered working with the materials, wouldn't it?
