Hopefully things get better soon.

My condolences, wT. Cancer sucks.Good to know we're not alone.
Thanks for the offer, but I believe German beer in a boot is calling to me tonight, based on where my friends and I are going.
In crappy news:
The C word sucks
And finding out via Facebook that a friend passed away also sucks
Checking in. Went for drinks with my coworkers (admin staff and the 2 remaining associates - we had 4 when the first started on June 1). It was truly depressing. Every single person is looking for a new job (there are 7 of us). It was like being in group therapy, every story was worse than the previous and the physical effects of working in this environment are starting to take their toll. One of the associates had a panic attack at the office and ended up in the emergency room and came to work the next day and never told anyone he was in the hospital. Another has developed a bleeding ulcer. No one in the group is over 32.
Anyone want to go to the Twins game on Sunday? I have 4 tickets, Shirtless Guy and I are going and I'm looking for 2 more. It is the last game ever in the Dome, and they're lifting the curtain and having some special ceremony stuff. It should be a good time.
Sucks, doesn't it?
I don't mind long meetings, as long as it's relevant to all participants and things are actually getting accomplished. Sadly, too many meetings are held just for the sake of having a meeting, and everyone and their cousin is invited. I'm a big follower of having an agenda, sticking to it, and making sure that it's on task. Luckily, so are most of my colleagues.
ETA - and FTR - it's Ok to end a meeting early if you've finished your agenda. Really.
I don't mind if a meeting gets a little off-track, as long as it doesn't force the meeting to run over its alotted time and the topic is actually something that is valuable to discuss.
I understand. I never expected to pry you away from NFL Sunday.I would, but you know, being NFL Sunday.....I can't.

Finally found out who was calling me from the 231 number.
Honda.
Yeah, that was anticlimactic.

Evening Lodge.
I got to scratch an item off my bucket list today. I went to Coors Field and tried Rocky Mountain oysters.
They're not bad. They're kinda like fried fish with a creamier center. Good with ketchup.
I think I speak for at least 40% of American males when I say....".....dude."

Just an FYI, I should have my table in another week or so. Going to have to start getting practice rubs done you know.Hi Lodge.
Also, lower back pain blows. I'm way too young to feel this crappy. Seriously, I'm holding on to things every time I sit down or get up. I played around online to see what suggestions there were and what I found was don't stretch/over exert but also don't rest as it'll take longer to heal.
I think I messed it up about 2 weeks ago moving some of the last stuff from the apartment. It's been a dull ache until I went karting last week. Then I was stupid and played hockey Friday night (and got 3 hours of sleep) before going to football and "marching"/standing all game. My back is not too pleased with me.
People will think you're dead Ralph.I have thought about it, but haven't decided what to do. Maybe, I'll just disappear for awhile like Sloe Gin and some others.
Nerds in love. how cute!!We've been dating a month. He bought me flowers, it was sweet. I keep asking how I haven't scared him off yet and then he asks why I haven't run away yet. What a great relationship I have.
Just pull a gun or knife on the first boy you see dancing too close to your daugher, he'll spread the word quick and it will save yourself a lot of hassles in HS.Hey DCers, what should I anticipate weather wise the week of October 18? I am chaperoning my daughter's 8th grade class trip - yes, I did have a lobotomy recently. Anyway, just curious in general terms, on the weather channel site I see the averages are mid 60s & mid 40s and just curious if these are accurate.
Thanks!
He's going to be in DC...the kid will just take out a gun and shoot him...Just pull a gun or knife on the first boy you see dancing too close to your daugher, he'll spread the word quick and it will save yourself a lot of hassles in HS.
