I don't mind if a meeting gets a little off-track, as long as it doesn't force the meeting to run over its alotted time and the topic is actually something that is valuable to discuss.
wT and gmann- sorry to hear.
Cancer does suck
I'm kind of rooting for the Phillies. I want to see if everyone will whine about Philadelphia teams winning as much as they used to whine about Boston teams.
Because Philly fans will kill people.

This is why I'm not going to let my kid play hockey. There is no group of people more vicious and cut-throat than hockey parents.
Checking in. Went for drinks with my coworkers (admin staff and the 2 remaining associates - we had 4 when the first started on June 1). It was truly depressing. Every single person is looking for a new job (there are 7 of us). It was like being in group therapy, every story was worse than the previous and the physical effects of working in this environment are starting to take their toll. One of the associates had a panic attack at the office and ended up in the emergency room and came to work the next day and never told anyone he was in the hospital. Another has developed a bleeding ulcer. No one in the group is over 32.
Eh, I saw it, *shrug*. We wanted Lake Placid as much as you and RC wanted Albany, we each saw the appeals of our own choices, and that whole thread was a charlie foxtrot anyways. It'll be interesting to see what happens in 2011, I'll probably end up going to check it out since it's not too far from me anyways.

No job is worth that. None.
Bitter. Bitter, party of two.
Dear Boss,
I would love a few pertinent suggestions on how you think I should handle Mr. Butinski. I have tried a number of strategies to attempt to work with Mr Butinski in a colleageal manner and all have been unsuccessful. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
wT
