Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 84: Steal This.

Whoa! My office is 13 minutes from the WBL location. I am going tomorrow.
Want to pick me up on your way? :p

I'm planning on making a trip over there sometime soon too, now that I know its there. I've only had betty's pies once, a long time ago, and I still remember that it was excellent.

I've never been, strangely - been past the place a bunch of times going to the Boundary Waters. Maybe I need to invent a reason to go to White Bear today.

Morning, Lodge. Sorta flaked out on my volunteer obligation at the streetcar museum this morning, but I have enough work around the house to keep me busy anyway.

EDIT: Jon - are you a miner or the canary? ;)

Are you planning on going to OC Thursday night to meet up with brent and MNS? If you are, we should ride down there together, save a little gas.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 84: Steal This.

No problem, just thought I'd ask. I'm hoping that I'll be able to pull off the fantasy college hockey draft while at OC.:D

Oh, definitely, would have made sense. I might be over for OC Sunday though, and I'm definitely in for Senser's in a couple weeks

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 84: Steal This.

Just wait until the first weather forecast with the S word in it. :)

You're way too late on that score. The mountains here in Colorado have had snow several times this month. I can easily see snow in the mountains to the Nothwest and Southwest when driving through various parts of metro Denver.

And on the subject of weather Denver is heading for 85 degrees today. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 84: Steal This.

I have 23 days of vacation remaining that I have to "use it or lose it".

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 84: Steal This.

'noon lodge. Ex-haust-ed. 5 hours all around, or whatever your preference is to get through the day. Somewhat surprising too, I thought I was going to bed early when I hit the bed at 1:15 (waking up sometime before 7 every day), of course last week I never fell asleep before something like 2am either, so I guess it was "early."

I don't have a problem with pasties, so maybe I am the miner. Go UTEP!

which reminds me... I still need to ask if I can use the grills year round... the first "S word" will send me off to the grocery store for charcoal, chicken, and a few other items. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 84: Steal This.

Is it 5 yet?

I need a drink. One of my idiot co-workers keeps wanting to be the hero so he does useless things like sit at a supplier for hours waiting for them to mold parts which he can bring back. It's pathetic that he has that much free time (states the girl who posts on the message board during the work day).

Anyway, yesterday he decided he'd try to do my job and communicated problems to a supplier based on a status e-mail I had sent (internally). So now the supplier is off fixing some stuff that doesn't need to be fixed and not fixing everything that does need to be fixed. Oh, and of course I don't find this out until a meeting today.

Yarghhh! Oh and I've had multiple conversations with this person about needing to communicate with each other and I try to let him know what's going on, but he always does stuff in a vacuum. I've also talked to his manager and she says, "just keep trying to work with him". Thanks, that's so helpful.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 84: Steal This.

Hey DCers, what should I anticipate weather wise the week of October 18? I am chaperoning my daughter's 8th grade class trip - yes, I did have a lobotomy recently. :D Anyway, just curious in general terms, on the weather channel site I see the averages are mid 60s & mid 40s and just curious if these are accurate.

Thanks!
