Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Good Morning, Lodge! :)

back to real food after lastr week's extraction. :D

Good Morning Commie. Good Morning RFAlph!!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! thirsty thursday is here!

And for first day excitement yesterday- L'il came home and announced that Snot (remember him from a few yrs ago- the annoying azzhat that told everyone L'il and his team sucked but he was awesome, etc) is sitting a few seats away from L'il in his first class every day. Groan. Last yr this kid would cross the caf or go down a long hall just to tell L'il he sux (did he not have anything better to do?). I guess yesterday he was trying to bait L'il about hockey but L'il was ignoring him. The last extended experience with Snot, he did not take well to being ignored. Should be an interesting yr.

Morning Ladies! :)

Last work day of the week and then 4 days off. Yay!

On the downside, next week our company goes back to business casual dress. Annoying have to actually wear shirts with collars and buttons. :(

Thanks for that. There are two famous people I've been told I look like: The bad guy from "Ghost" -- and I know everybody's got stories like these, but it was impressionable when two delivery guys in an elevator said (regarding me), "Hey, you know who this guy looks like?" "Who?" "That guy from 'Ghost.' The bad guy, you remember?" "Yeah, sure he does." -- and the other is Dave Foley. What are the odds?

My records show that I repped you at 1:27 AM EDT on Wednesday.

So many Time Zones!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

'Morning, Lodge!

Every time I get a cold/sinus infection/hay fever, it now develops into bronchitis. It is probably a great time to stop smoking.

I'd say that's a great sign...

The guy had around $20 worth of coupons that he never told me he had, so when his wife swiped her credit card before the transaction was complete, when I totaled the order I just hit the "credit" key. There's no going back after that. He says, "I have these coupons" and I went "Oh, crap..." He got all peeved and incredibly rude and condescending while I was apologizing up and down waiting for my CSM to get there to tell me how to fix it. And then I fixed it, by voiding the ENTIRE transaction [they had almost $200 worth of groceries] and re-ringing everything up, coupons included. It took forever, when he could have just gone to the service desk, had them void the few items that the coupons applied to, and then rang those up with the coupons, which would have been way easier for EVERYONE involved. He even, at one point, asked for the store manager. Seriously.

Joke's on him, though -- he's got two near-$200 charges on his credit card now, and the first one won't go away for around two weeks. I hope it prevents him from doing something he really wants to do.

I hate people. Except for the ones I like. But everyone else -- rage and hate.

Did I mention how happy I am to see you around here again? PS--next time you're in town, I still have your Band Day sweatshirt, and I imagine you'd like that back.

It can't hurt to mention that to the teacher, just so when things boil over s/he has some kind of warning.

Morning Lodge

1/2 day for me and then the weekend begins. Goose hunting, Dove hunting, walleye fishing and a camp with a couple of good buddies.

gmann - I'm headed through 320 land this afternoon. What's the exit off of 94 to eventually get on hwy 27 to go to Herman/Wheaton? is it 28??

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

1982, i was getting laid (and when not, searching for new opportunities to) in jr high school.

(that school year, 82-83 - 9th grade - was when i found out what my special purpose was for!!! :D )

That sucks. People suck.

OMG paranoid! So I'm unpacking another carload of stuff last night when some guy driving by stops and says "hey can I ask you something". Me, being trusting stupid naive idiot goes over and talks to him. He tells me he owned the house I bought 10 years ago, and what he paid for it, and that he really didn't like the people that owned it last...blah blah, what did I pay for it. I being friendly idiot tell him and say the buyer's market was good for me.

He asks, "you didn't buy it by yourself, did you?" I answer 'cause I'm proud that I did and because I'm stupid. He then hurriedly (and seemingly random to me) says "I have to go" and drives off.

So now I'm freaking out because I'm a moron that told some strange man that I live alone while standing in front of my house. And of course, this wasn't like friendly looking stranger, it was creepy looking middle aged man driving a beat up car. There was no way I was going to be able to sleep there last night. So I invited myself over to a friend's house and haven't been back. I think I'm staying at that friend's place again tonight. Then my parents are staying with me, so I'm good for the next 4 nights at least.

A security system has now jumped to the absolute top of my list of things I need/want to buy for the house. Above washer & dryer....I can go to the laundromat for awhile.

I'm still shaking/nervous/paranoid/worried. I wish I wasn't such a naive idiot sometimes.

Here's hoping that it's nothing and the guy really did used to live there and was just curious as to who owns his house now and what it's worth in this market.

Were you just wearing tank tops this summer? :p
Here's a little time killer for today (SFW)

The people of WalMart

Wow

I see we read the same articles. I also saw the write up about that this morning.

Morning, tLodge. Same old, same old here. Leaving at 12:30 though for an "appointment". *fingers crossed*

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

*sniff* *sniff sniff*

Yep. The unmistakably aromatic fragrance of three-day-weekend is in the air. :)

Yikes. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

wT - It might not be a bad idea to talk to the local PD about your encounter. There may be nothing to it, or they may already have info on the guy. At the very least, they'll know you are on the alert and may maintain a presence near your home. Good luck!

I think I've seen some of those people at Sam's Club too...

Good luck, 'ewe!

Good morning, Lodge! Off to work; won't have another day off until Tuesday.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

wT - at least a security system will give you a discount on homeowner's insurance. Might not be a bad idea to start carrying pepper spray, either. I'd also strongly recommend meeting your neighbors ASAP and make nice with at least some of them given the fact you now have a dipsh*t nutjob possibly on your ***.

Oh, and maybe you should get a guard dog.

This is my Friday as I am also heading north for the weekend after work today with no Mrs. or little ones. Tomorrow at this time I will be on the golf course. After that I will be on the lake catching Mr. Walleye. After that cards, cigars, beverages and laughter.

Gonzo, exit 100 but don't hold me to it.. It's the second exit. If you end up in Canada it's not my fault. ;)

If you don't mind, where is your destination?
