Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

I'm looking forward to a "Dark and Stormy" weekend. Certainly not the weather - its been beautiful - but the cocktail - dark dark dark rum and ginger beer. Found ginger beer in Calumet!!

That sounds delicious!

I used to carry pepper spray while biking in the woods. (bears, not creepy predators) I think I got it at Wal-Mart. Although I always figured in the moment, I'd get mixed up and spray myself.

I accidentally set it off on my ex-fiance once. It wasn't at the time, but thinking about it now it's pretty funny...

Oh, and you MN State Fair fans, I think Texas is giving you all a run for your money in the "You can deep-fry that?" contest. http://www.wfaa.com/sharedcontent/d...s/wfaa090901_wz_statefairfoods.13a95680b.html

This poll seems to have a substantial protrusion as a result of Giada's Melon Farm. :D Irony?

1982, let's see what important happened in 82.

I have a feeling it was the start one truly awesome life, but who's could it possibly be.

OK, for me, in 82, I was in 1st grade teaching 3rd graders how to read gooder. Sorry, more goodly.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm hoping I'm just paranoid...but I'd rather play it safe. Anyone have a time machine so I can go back in time and not talk to the guy, or have told him something like my gun-obsessed boyfriend with an anger management problem and I are living there? (ok, maybe that would be too obvious a cover up)
Just get one of our board hunters to hang around for the weekend toting a selection of rifles, handguns, and shotguns around the yard.
I honestly don't know if I could bring myself to try it. Butter is a good addition (in moderation) to already existing dishes, but as a dish of its own? No, thanks.
Butter on its own is nasty!

Texas blows.

We don't fry things just to fry them here. We only fry them to make them easier to put on a stick.

Anne Hathaway?
Aksel Lund Svindal?
Lacey Chabert?
Lil Wayne?

Quickpull?

It's an application you'll come to really appreciate. It replicates doing a "battery pull" which you'll need to do on occasion to fully reboot the phone. Instead of always pulling the back off of the phone and taking the batter out yourself, this program will reboot it the same way without having to do all the manual labor.

Seems silly at first, but after a while you'll understand why you need it. There's a free version to download of it and there's a version with a small fee attached but the freebie version is great.
