Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

It has come to the attention of the Lodge Welcome Committee that there is a new member of the Lodge.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

What up, g?

Truck is at the shop due to idiots failing to deal with the brakes properly. Fronts worn and rears *d up again. Probably another $500-600 that I didn't want to spend.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

I matched 3+0 in Mega Millions, good for $7. I've invested $15 in the past 3 draws, so it beats nothing, I guess.

i went and did a couple late with BU players numbers... and of course i put the anchor in net down as my bonus ball.... so i got that going for me.:D

but no $$$,$$$,$$$'s, alas:(

Good morning from Two Harbors!
I camped so of course it rained. And rained.  And rained.
Reminded me why I hate camping.
Last night in the Grand Superior Lodge was far superior! :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

Morning Lodge!

Slow getting going today. Very frustrating day yesterday, worked at the local fair Thursday in the Sugar House (Maple) and our cotton candy machine wouldn't work. As that is one of our best money makers I (totally unqualified) investgated the problem and destroyed the heating elements in the machine. Looked on the shelf for the spare elements and found the boxes empty, so I called the local distributor for the machine and was told we don't stock any parts. Called the factory, was refered to a distributor in MA. and located the needed parts and had them shipped overnight.

(At this point I found located a friend that has a cotton candy machine and borrowed his machine.)
So yesterday morning and went up to the fair to install the parts. Finished installing the parts, plugged the machine in, turn it on-- still didn't work.

Called the electrician on the fair grounds who checked everything out and it seemed to be alright electrically. At this time I'm ready to say to hell with it, but decide to go through thing one more time. Take the heating elements out and clean things again looking closely for any problems and find nothing. Put the elements back in and am connecting the wires and on the second one I see that I crossed two wires when I connected the first element. Go back to the first element to change the wires, for some reason I look at the wiring diagram and O-****--- I had been so careful to hitch everything back the way that I took it apart that I never checked. The guy who had worked Wednesday thought that he had a problem and had changed the elements, but obviously had not given the machine a test run. GRRRRRRRRRR.

Oh well I now feel somewhat comfortable working on a cotton candy machine, but I'm not sure that that is a skill I really want.

end of rant

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

Congrats on everything except for the fact that you are now closer to Mr. shot and for that I apologize. :)
And welcome to God's Country. See you and your mob early next year. Congrats.
Congratulations WTW!
Good news there wtw!
Congrats!
Congrats WTW! That is fantastic!
WTW: Wow, that sounds awesome.
Are you going back on active duty or are you going as a civilian instructor? That is very very cool. And yes, there is >some< hockey there!!!!!!!!
I'll still be a Reservist (I just got selected for LtCol), but on active duty orders - so in uniform, yes.
Congrats WTW! :) Once again, nice work, WTW!
Congrats!!
Thanks, partiers. It's not often a man gets his dream job, and I'm not going to take a moment for granted. I'm especially thankful because just three years ago I was at a very low point career-wise (financial stress, etc.), and now I have an opportunity I never expected I'd get.

There are now 41 days until Friday 9 October.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

Colorado's high school football season began last night with a handful of games being played around the state. In the 5A division Littleton beat George Washington. Littleton is led by a senior running back who earlier this summer signed a letter of intent to play collegiately next year in Boulder at CU. The kid's name is Mister Jones.

Yes. That's his given name.

Les- I started posting here and tLodge started to suck. Coincidence? Maybe Red Cloud has a point, but I doubt it...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

I'm watching Ted Kennedy's funeral and looking at coverage online. Why on earth is Jack Nicholson there?

Afternoon.

Sweet Martha's Cookies are just as good the next day as they are when first purchased. Just so you know. :p

No way. They have to be warm and gooey in the bucket, and walked across the street to the all-you-can-drink milk stand.
