Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

Hello again from work. :(

tcbg is alone in my apartment and I'm here in the office -- this is not how I wanted this weekend to go. *sigh* Not only do I feel like a bad girlfriend, but I just feel generally crappy.

Ewe,

I am very impressed with all you are doing at your job considering the circumstances.

Bad Girlfriend? I doubt CBG feels that way, my guess would be he understands you're doing what you feel you have to do.

Feels like fall here in 320land. Nice brisk sunny day.

Tonight Mrs. g and I will be going out with some friends. Barbecue, boat ride and bonfire are on the agenda.

This sounds like a good night.

Indian Summer plans for us tonight include having friends over for dinner (Mexican food), beer, cigars, and good wood burning in the chiminea.

And no, that's not a figure of speech.

Just home from some shopping at Safeway. I swear there was a smell of "Fall Saturday afternoon" in the air even though it's eighty degrees.

Off to early evening church service then hoime for grilled steak, fresh corn on the cob, coffee ice cream garnished with raspberries and blackberries and frozen margs for dinner. Bon appetit y'all. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

I'll still be a Reservist (I just got selected for LtCol), but on active duty orders - so in uniform, yes.

Thanks, partiers. It's not often a man gets his dream job, and I'm not going to take a moment for granted. I'm especially thankful because just three years ago I was at a very low point career-wise (financial stress, etc.), and now I have an opportunity I never expected I'd get.

Congrats, sir. Also, what type of history are you teaching in particular, or don't you know yet?

The kid's name is Mister Jones.

Yes. That's his given name.

I think that Counting Crows has a song about him.

As usual, your dinner sounds amazing. :o

Evening, Lodge. Cool day today, but otherwise brilliant in the TC Metro. And I had a bacon (and lettuce and tomato) sandwich for dinner.

The song is a Bob Dylan classic: Ballad of a Thin Man.

As for dinner, I'm married to a wonderful chef. I'm lucky and appreciative. ;)

Irish Coffee might be the perfect concoction. Caffeine, whiskey, & whipped cream.....seriously, does it get any better?
