Irish Coffee might be the perfect concoction. Caffeine, whiskey, & whipped cream.....seriously, does it get any better?

Truth.

Although there's the true Irish coffee, and then the Americanized/ghetto Irish coffee (just whiskey/coffee). ;)

We had our neighbors over for dessert (Betty's Pies!) and I made Irish Coffee from the Buena Vista's recipe, I even had some Tullamore Dew* in da house. Dam good way to spend a few hours. :)

*Which worked out well, the thought of mixing my Jameson 12 or Black Bush with coffee gave me hives.

True on the fine print. Regular Jamie is ok, but not 12.

Nothing like getting to OC on an NFL Sunday when it's -10 out, and having a lil' Jamie/coffee warm up. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

Evening Lodge.

Didn't see any other Lodgers yesterday at tFair. Only had few things on a stick. Ole and Lena's hot dish on a stick is excellent, never had that one before. Did have "pig lickers", Famous Dave's version of chocolate dipped bacon. I liked it. Mixed reaction from the rest of our crew.

Finally got our wireless going. We upgraded our DSL speed, bundled some services from Qwest and added the wireless. Couldn't get the old modem to work with the network cable for a while. Finally (after mucho time on the line with tech support and a trip to MicroCenter) learned that something (lighting strike nearby?) had fried the network port on both my comp and the old modem - and nothing else.

Congrats to WTW!

Hope things get better for 'ewe, like a new job!

Just home from some shopping at Safeway. I swear there was a smell of "Fall Saturday afternoon" in the air even though it's eighty degrees.

Off to early evening church service then hoime for grilled steak, fresh corn on the cob, coffee ice cream garnished with raspberries and blackberries and frozen margs for dinner. Bon appetit y'all. :p
Your dinners always sound so good... sure as hell beats fried eggs and an English muffin.

Eh, evening, Lodge. Ran 14 miles today, worked, and had a blah kind of day. Think I actually did more cleaning around the demo dept than actual demonstrating...

Bad Girlfriend? I doubt CBG feels that way, my guess would be he understands you're doing what you feel you have to do.
If he sticks to his guns, he can probably demand anal from her tonight.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

Good evening lodge!

Drinking, watching season 2 of Californication, and just ordered pizza. Since MEg stole the gf for the night, I'm on my own...

BPH just needs money ;)

WTW: Wow, that sounds awesome.

ewe: Yup, that still sucks. And now they're just rubbing salt in the wound. You're right though, you do get some overtime from the deal.

bb_dl: I've been told that the peach-glazed pork cheeks are excellent.

Evening, Lodge. Beautiful day today in 763ville and 612land.
I tried the peach-glazed pork cheeks, and I wasn't impressed. I probably won't get them again.
It was a perfect day at the Great Minnesota State Get Together.
Yes it was, we got there at about 6, at it was a perfect night to be at the fair.
Afternoon.

Sweet Martha's Cookies are just as good the next day as they are when first purchased. Just so you know. :p
I didn't want to wait in the 20 minute line to get them. Hopefully it is shorter one of the times I go there.

I liked the pig lickers, but my girlfriend really didn't like them. And yes, the hotdish on a stick has become one of my very favorites, it is indeed excellent!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

How could you let yourself get c-blocked by a midget?

Or is this some sort of "swap" where you get biddco in exchange?

Buncha sick fooks.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

Morning Lodge.

Racecar survived 7 hours with my friends yesterday. I'm impressed. We had an awesome time at German Park. Spaten by the bucket is as great as I remember it. :D :D

Today is moving day. It'll be fun to see how much I can pack in the next 3 hours before my friends get here to help.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

Did you reload the page after you repped him?
No.

Les- I started posting here and tLodge started to suck. Coincidence? Maybe Red Cloud has a point, but I doubt it...
Probably not unless something drastic has happened.

Had a high temp of 57 today, that falllike enough for ya:D Tropical depression danny has made it rain all freakin day. Trying to get some stuff done on the shop and I got soaked

They had to put boards on the walk yesterday wo we could get to the house as the water was coming down in buckets. THey probably had 4 + in when we were there. My feet were soaked and so were my shoes.

Good Luck Trumpet.

Hang in there ewe~!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! sunday is supposed to be a day of rest.

I need a RF. shouldn't be in the politico threads and trying to have intelligent discourse. Certainly should't tell someone who refers to people as [***] lefties as a flamer they are flaming. Stupid me:D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

She was standing in the kitchen, preparing our usual soft-boiled eggs and toast for breakfast,
wearing only the 'T' shirt that she normally slept in.

As I walked in, almost awake, she turned to me and said softly, 'You've got to make love to me this very moment!'

My eyes lit up and I thought, 'I am either still dreaming or this is going to be my lucky day!'

Not wanting to lose the moment, I embraced her and then gave it my all; right there on the kitchen table.

Afterwards, she said, 'Thanks,' and returned to the stove, her T-shirt still around her neck.

Happy, but a little puzzled, I asked, 'What was that all about?'

She explained, 'The egg timer's broken'
