Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

I got mine booked. Bought it last week. Nice place just outside of Ann Arbor. Bit of a drive to Detroit, but who would want to stay there?

I have a place but I might move before hand, if I do there's a really good chance I will end up further from the Joe then 'trumpet.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

I take it you are referring to the Wine Bowl. Or in your case the Whine Bowl. :D

No. I am talking about the kick azz and take names later from DU bowl. :)

perhaps you should contact gmann as he deludes himself into thinking he has some expertise in the area of changing diapers.

Be forewarned: his input is liable to be sleep inducing. ;)

Something you not telling us Gonzo? ;)

Morning Lodge

Mrs. and I booked another cruise this morning for the end of January. :)
We're going to fly down to Ft. Lauderdale a couple of days early and stay at the W hotel. I anticipate warmth. :D

Have fun you lucky sob.

I've thrown a couple back with gmann before, he's not as tame as you may think ;) :D

I put the azy in crazy!

You on the payroll yet general? Tick, tock. Tick, tock.
ASaaG: Yes I am!

Hey, Lodgetonians, lots of stuff going on this week! Disclaimer: Please move on to the next post if you care little for the comings and goings of an obscure man in West TX whom you've never met.

My job flying helicopters for the hospital is coming to an end, as my employer was outbid by another flight operation. The new company is trying to keep our same people on board, but their offer to me is a steaming pants load (basically: either move to Clovis, NM, or see your family for only 4-5 days per month).

Luckily, I foresaw such a contingency, and have been applying for a full-time Air Force job this year, which I just learned has been offered to me! I will be moving the tribe to Colorado Springs and starting as a history (asst.) professor at the Air Force Academy in January. In addition to having classrooms full of captive audiences that are ordered to listen to my ramblings, I'll get to conduct flight instruction every other day in their two-seat Katana aircraft. And I haven't even mentioned seeing Division I hockey! (I hear there may even be other D-I teams in Colorado.)

Of course there is a downside, which is the waning applicability of my username. But Colorado Wolverine just doesn't have a good ring to it, and so I expect I'll leave WTW alone.

And to make things even better: it's Friday, Amazon just delivered my Oxford Latin Grammar and Steven Hayward's The Age of Reagan (vol. 2: 1980-89), and the beer store is open.

Now it is the time on Sprockets when we dance!

I can't believe there's actually a way of making the political threads suck more. Yet miraculously...

Congrats on everything except for the fact that you are now closer to Mr. shot and for that I apologize. :)

Hey Dieter, I thought now was the time on Sprockets when you axed us if we want to pet your monkey.

Oxford Latin Grammar and the beer store? Talk about a party animal....

ColoradoWolverine. You're right. It needs work. And welcome to God's Country. See you and your mob early next year. Congrats.

Hey, I can funk.

In any case, in your post I see genius: by seemingly embracing the cliches of the West you only underscore their excruciating banality!

Would you like to touch Klaus? Touch my monkey! His texture is gorgeous.

No, seriously. You've been hired by the Air Force Academy? You'll be teaching Historical Idiocy 101, correct?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 81: Trickle-Down Lodganomics

Good afternoon Lodge!

Out of training for the day, no I only have a couple hours until weekend. I'm going to the state fair after work, this will be more of a scouting mission, probably will eat some fair food, but I mostly want to go to help plan my next couple trips, so I can optimized my fair food intake efficiency and guarantee that I don't miss any must-tries.

My job flying helicopters for the hospital is coming to an end, as my employer was outbid by another flight operation. Congrats!

I work with a lot of people from Clovis...originally thought I would have to be going down there this month, but that got scrapped because of budgets worries.
Congratulations WTW! Sounds like you're happy with this next step. Good for you and yours! :)

You may touch my monkey
but will you let him pind your monkey?
