You don't tell them about the arsenic either, but it doesn't mean it should be in there! :p

Sorry, i've seen one too many movies.
:D

all this talk about new places... i'm practically ready to throw all my stuff in the car and get going.

17 days to the defense...
37 until move in day...
43 until I start working...

one day at a time... one day at a time...

Seriously though i have no idea how I'm going to decorate my place once I get it.... want to do so many things... so many ideas... no knowledge on how to do most of it... I wanna do it now! I wanna do it now! :)
Wait before you do anything. Best piece of advice I ever got (which I promptly ignored) was to wait a bit before buying all the new stuff. When you buy everything all at once and you decide you should have done something else it is all new and you can't afford to change it.

Congrats diva!~

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! moanin' monday is here.

Had the best day yesterday. Pahty for a bunch of folks that I went to school with 25 yrs ago andsome significant others. Other than politics that have changed (good thing there were a bunch of medical people to treat the coronaries when there were disagreement)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Morning Lodge.

It appears that the new USCHO strategy to get me to buy Extra might be working. Either that, or I have to quit visiting this site. The banner ads are such that I don't want anyone from work to see them over my shoulder, nor my 12 year old to see them on my home machine. Nothing awful, but not businesslike. Between the Trojan one and the one for some on line game with the impressive cleavage showing...

Viva Viagra!! :D

Come on, Goldy - your kid needs to learn about birth control and cleavage sometime in his life. Better to teach him now than let him learn about it from some junior high skank that gives him the clap.

Solution: Firefox + AdBlock Plus (both freeware, both very effective.) Blocks all the ads, keeps the site loading quickly :D

(though I've been considering getting Extra anyway - good cause and all)

Morning, Lodge. My weekend is Monday and Tuesday

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

that may be the case, but it's no heart attack grill

all you can eat fries, buns are coated in pure lard, and if you're over 350 lbs, you eat free. Not to mention the service staff is pretty nice too;)

That is hilarious. What's funny is that people are targeting them negatively for being completely honest about their menu fare, whereas other restaurants are lying about their "light" options (IE 800+ calorie salads at some chains). Whatever happened to having a sense of humor?

The boob one always tends to show up when I'm logging in from work, getting a few interesting comments from people. Once I'm logged in it goes away.

Mine is/was Sunday/Monday. And that's exactly why I got Extra--when I realized how much time I really spent on here and how little it actually cost, I decided to go for it. The rep thing is really nice, too.

It's almost becoming as annoying as the "Get a Mac" crowd.

...says the Firefox and AdBlock Plus user.

I'm trying to pick up the bulk of the stuff on the cheap from Craigslist (got my tv stand for free). Whatever I can't pick up that way will be purchased.
Saves money and gives me a chance to think about if I really want it.

Gonna go with BPH's response below. It's a great way to avoid those ads.

I'd rather have those two days off -- you can run errands and go to appointments that you wouldn't ordinarily be able to do during the traditional weekend and you don't have to take time off to do so.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

I'm still willing and interested in hosting a group on Saturday, August 15th. Is anyone else still interested? I know Brent and BPH are out of town that weekend, so it should be a good time here :p ;)

Let me know and we'll do what we need to! :)

Good morning Lodge.

I am in.

I really need to stop looking at craigslist - there's a motorcycle I want, and can afford, but I can't really justify buying it without a motorcycle endorsement. But yes, it's otherwise a good place to go snooping for furnishings.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Good morning, Lodge.

Editing my resume and cover letter, filling out substitute teacher forms, catching up on my reading... enjoying this day off. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Howdy gang. heading to Chicago in about a half hour so I will probably be off line for a few days. Depends on the hotel's wireless service. :)

The Commie does have a good point. 12 would be good time to start giving him the Talk. Better to do it now before he realizes that he's a chip off the old horndog block. ;)

Grrrr..... And my DSL is being like Dialup slow.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Wait...what?!?!

No more Mining?

ETA: Thanks for pointing me to adblock! I use Firefox, just didn't know about that feature.

another cool feature of FF that a lot of people don't know about is the integration of GreaseMonkey. It's a user-made script program that modifies websites in various ways. You might find some scripts on there that are useful to pages you frequently visit.

link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greasemonkey

http://www.greasespot.net/ - check out the find scripts link on that page towards the top right to search scripts.
