Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

<---- is sick of job hunting.

.

Afternoon, Lodge. The hunt continues - a few phone responses, but no serious interviews so far. Hoping to hear back from a company in Chicago and/or a company in Grand Rapids in the near future.

Howdy Lodge!

I must say, this weekend was pretty dam good, despite my golf game continuing to be in the ****ter.:p

Its nice to be back home, if only until Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon I get to travel to Green Bay, luckily I'll be coming back home on Friday.

Working on plans for another date this Friday night, considering the mini-golfing route that was so elegantly discussed earlier.:p

That bad, eh? :p

Dam banner ad is back and right click does nothing!

Which banner ad? Have you employed AdBlock yet?

If so and you are still getting those gifts from board, then you're specifying too greatly on the ad you want to block. They should all have the same www. xxxx. com address, and then each ad is given a specified address from there. The next ad you block, go back to the root, and nothing more shall appear. I've not seen an ad in I couldn't tell you how long (except for the USCHO Extra ad along the right).

Afternoon Loj! Back from the land of hypodermic needle-laden beaches and guidos in wife-beaters. Did I miss anything?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Solution: Firefox + AdBlock Plus (both freeware, both very effective.) Blocks all the ads, keeps the site loading quickly :D

(though I've been considering getting Extra anyway - good cause and all)

Doesn't work if you're stuck with IE at work and The Weather Channel is trying to get you fired by hosting Victoria's Secret banner ads.

BPH, re your rep....he is still a masterful player on the twelve string. Thirty five years ago, as well as today, his voice could only be catagorized as raspy--at best. When it comes to playing six or twelve string guitar he was, and is, as good as anyone of his generation. It was an entertaining performance last night to a crowd of about eleven hundred in a venue which holds twelve hundred.

My Grandmother was Leo Kottke's housekeeper for many years. He's got a lovely home in Wayzata, MN, near Lake Minnetonka. I've seen him at the grocery store and at the muni. Drives himself to most of his gigs as well. Totally down to earth guy.

Did you pack the bunny suit?

No, as I'm here with my manager and my client. I don't think that would go over too well.

Greetings from Chi-Town. Stupid cab driver took us to the wrong W Hotel. Idiot. I specifically said which one. Apparently he didn't hear. I wish I could remove the tip I left for him. Thankfully the hotel has a shuttle service and they drove us over to the correct one.

Waiting for my client to show up and we're heading over to Greek Town for dinner. Ciao for now!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Does anyone know what might be in the box in the hotel labeled "high grade puke"?

I am curious. This sleazy feeling hotel I'm at (as in, I felt dirtier after using the shower) has a basket of items for purchase on the night stand. Condoms, underwear and something labeled "high grade puke". Cost is 10 RMB for the puke (about $1.50). It's in a box that's probably 4x5x1 inch. Kind of heavy for a box of that size.

I am very glad I only had to stay in this hotel 1 night. And at least they have internet.
