It's raining (well, it's drizzling). That means that I picked the correct two days this weekend to go bike riding. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

I was very tempted to buy a Simpsons arcade game when I was home for Christmas. How cool would that have been? Sadly, I had no where to put it, and no way to get it home....and yes, that is all that prevented me from buying it.

Someday when I have a party basement it will have an old school arcade game in it and it will be awesome. Unfortunately, the house I'm buying does not have a basement...but the family room could become my party basement.
One of those things would probably need a dolly to move it with. And please tell me that you didn't have the highest score on it as well. ;)

That's on my to do list as well. I have to be careful not to slip on all the jackrabbit and cottontail poop; it's like walking on marbles!

90 days until the start of the season.
hehehe... rabbit poop.

Odd, I thought the West Texas game was earlier than that. ;)

The closest airplane comparison in terms of purpose to a Huey or Apache would be an A-10 or a C130 gunship. I'd definitely take the A-10 over either of those given its insane armament / armor. Comparing a B-52 or an F-22 to a helicopter is just asinine. :p
I'll take the C130. Can stay up higher and can deliever a ton of pain. They say you can run, but you'll only die tired if you got one of those things on your tail.

I just checked: GVSU at West Texas A&M is at 6 PM Central, 29 August 2009.
Holding my breath and counting down the seconds myself. The word is that the West Texas fans are going to be setting up shop for GVSU. Have plenty of Brisket, Lone Star and other tailgating fixings there as long as we bring them stuff from up north, mostly beers I think its going to be. There's actually going to be another D2 game that I'm kinda interested in going to in Abilene that Thursday, and I'm kinda interested in going to that game as well, and making the trip a full blown Texas Vacation. Just my problem is that I don't think I could bring down enough of my pulled pork with me to keep for both the thursday and Saturday night games.

Good brisket would be worth quite a bit if you ask me

.

And I'm looking forward to a hockey trip to Omaha one of these years too... get some good steak down there. :)

Monster: Bell's, Atwater Block, KBC, the list goes on and on. :D

How far away drive is that Parise-forsaken place?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 77: Arcade Games of the Reagan 80s

5 1/2 hours. Though Iowa pig-* country.

They'd better have some dam good beef when I get there.

I don't know what would be a worse trip: the Houghton, or the Omaha. At least the Houghton trip you have good beer waiting for you. So, that should be BETTER than dam good beef. I want high-quality filet mignons for $3/lb. I also want bacon that tastes like the hand of God himself made it.

And good beer too. Every WCHA town needs a microbrewery, especially since Omaha can't make up for being in the middle of *ing nowhere by the scenery.

Well, sure, but this IS Omaha. What do they have there? A big church or five, a couple cattle ranches, and an arena/college? Whee. I wouldn't expect much. ;)

You could gain five pounds and still be in ridiculous shape. :p

And yeah, Scarlet, if you gained 5 lbs, then you weigh what, 103 now?:p

Aw, you guys are good for a girl's ego. :o

And ZOMG!!!!1!!!!

I met Jeffrey Donovan at the Red Sox game today!!!!! Squeeee!!!! He's the star of that show Burn Notice on USA Network (Thursdays at 9pm, in case anyone is interested). Which I LOVE. I had seats up in the suite level and as we were leaving, I saw him standing there with his girlfriend, who is his co-star on the show. I walked up to him and asked if it was indeed him, shook his hand, told him I was a huge fan of the show, that I thought she was a great addition to the cast this year. They were both really nice. Then I said "First game I've gone to this year when I didn't bring a pen or sharpie. Or camera." *sigh* And he says "Well, we'll always have this." And gestured between us. Hee!! Such a cutie. Mark Wahlberg was also at the game and I was wondering if I was going to see him up there. This was much better. :)

Heh. Lisa Kelly (Ice Road Truckers) just said, "Bend me over and spank me! Crack that whip!" in reference to the truck giving her some trouble.

My only thought? "Uhh.....SURE? Yes, ma'am!" :D

Reminds me of how I got some interesting looks at work today. I was in a rush making mashed potatoes (steamer wasn't working well and the potatoes weren't 100% cooked, but brunch was about to start), when I finally got them done the guys were glad that I was able to make it work and my comment was something along the lines of "I just had to whip them into submission"...
The look on their faces was priceless :o :D
