Buses are so bad, I've just been sharing the, more or less, horror stories these past few months. They're not my favorite way to get around town, but they're not usually so bad.

Going back to the conversation from yesterday, that FD just brought back up....seriously, if you can't steer with your knees, you're doing it wrong. I've done it for close to 20 miles straight before. Maybe its a country boy thing......Top off, in my Jeep; And we can go for a ride and I could drive with my knees; I'll behave, best I can; But I need something to do with my hands.

I will only drive with my knees for very short stints. I'm not driving on country roads for long enough stretches, and I do have to shift gears for those lousy semaphores in town.

So I just moved into the running for aunt of the year. Just bought tickets to take my niece to go see teen boyband One Direction this weekend. It's in Jones Beach, NY. It's her birthday on Tuesday, she was so bummed about not seeing them here tonight. I had looked into getting tickets but then this trip happened and wasn't able to get out early to take her. So I checked their schedule and saw that they were playing this weekend down there. I called my brother and sister-in-law to make sure they were OK with it. They were. She is sooooooooo excited. I called my folks to see if they wanted to chip in (got the tickets on Stub Hub so they weren't cheap and we're staying in a hotel Saturday night, plus gas) and they were like "Yes!" because now they don't have to go buy something. Same with my brother out in California. Everybody wins!!

If you can't drive with your knees, how the heck are you supposed to eat a burger/switch CDs/talk on the phone/do unsavory things to your passenger (or yourself)/crack open a bottle/etc? ;)

Oh, this weather...ugh on humidity. Guess what sells during this weather? Fans, circulators, motors, and AC units (either customers need to replace, or just need). Guess where they are all stored at? Yep, OFFSITE! And we are one guy short there this week. Needless to say, it's been a tad busy. The trend is holding true: the more extreme the weather, the busier we are.

That beer is going to be quite tasty this weekend. :)

Good evening Lodge.

If Scarlet is in the running for aunt of the year I just may be in the running for dad of the year. Weekend plans are set for cityslickerville. Friday evening we will be meeting up with some friends for dinner. Joining us will be the Okee Dokee Brothers (Google them-Grammy winners. You Tube Can You Canoe). My boys are going to be pumped! Saturday will entail swimming then a train ride and then more water activities. Sunday we will be going to the Twins game. We have some kick azz seats and there is a pretty good chance the boys will get to meet a few players. Monday we will just hang out and do whatever sounds like fun before heading home.

Scarlet and gmann are making me look bad for relative of the year. Niece's bday party this Sunday. After a night out for my orbit day. All I have to go on for a present as of now is something that will annoy my bro and SIL. :o

I do, and did. But as she gets older, the...style changes? Can't just get something noisy anymore, with bright lights and buttons. I have to evolve in the gift-giving. If she were a teen, I might try and score Beiber tix if she was a fan. That sort of thing. ;)

Considering your brother or sister-in-law would probably have to go with....that would be something annoying and noisy with bright lights.

In Mobile, AL for the night. Back to the boat in the morning.

Got to play a round of golf with a couple buddies I went to college with this morning. One just recently moved to Tampa, the other was on a road trip from NY.
