Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #2*2*7*6: It's Summer, why is there MATHS?!

I still like the one my dad used when I was over there one day. He answered the phone, said "uh-huh" a couple times, and then came up with, "Ma'am, I'd be happy to answer any and all of your questions about the way we farm here, all for the low, low price of $19.95 per answer. Now, will we be putting this on your Visa or Mastercard?". They went round and round a couple times until the lady got testy. The next thing I hear from him was, "Now missy, listen. If I recall correctly, it was YOUR idea to have this conversation, not mine. I was sitting here at my desk, and my phone rang. Yours didn't. Now, then, will this be on your Visa or Mastercard?". Apparently the lady got flustered and hung up.

It's a minor miracle that I didn't burn the house down in the last hour.

No.

Made dinner. Ate dinner. Moved bedroom furniture around a bit. For some reason, there was the faint smell of something cooking on the stove, I didn't notice anything. Finally, after about an hour, I went into the kitchen to find one of the burners set on low, with the lid from one of the pots sitting halfway on it. That was the smell.

He was testing out his new invention of the Flaming Shovel.

Although this is intriguing. And almost necessary this afternoon. I'm needing far too many shovels at the office as of late.

For those of you in cityslickerville.......I'm going to take the boys to a Twins game this weekend. They would really be pumped to take the light rail in. So...........given that I would be coming in on 94 from the west, where would be a good spot to get on and take to Target Field?

Light rail doesn't go north past Target field. The Northstar commuter line does though.

Yes. Looks like the only stations are on the north end of the metro and looks like Northstar leaves Target Field at 4:55 regardless of what's going on during the game ( for Sundays game whichnstartsbat 1:10). Shouldn't be a problem but with my luck.............

Like MNS said, light rail doesn't go past Target Field.

The train goes up the 47/10 corridor, with stops at Fridley, Coon Rapids, Anoka, Ramsey, Elk River, and Big Lake. Taking the exit for 25 in Monticello makes the most sense to me. That will take you into Big Lake. The stop is at US10 & County 43.

That's what's I was thinking. Or we could drive down to MOA and take it north. ;)

What a game 6...........;

Now that is genius!!!

been getting a wrong number call lately on my cell, guess some lumber company is trying to move some post to a project in Ohio. Problem is that they've always called when I'm nowhere near my phone, and they just leave a voicemail. I really should call em back sometime to let em know that they got the wrong number.
makes me think of kathy ireland in necessary roughness.

"welcome to foot, ball" :D
Mmmmm.... Kathy Ireland!!
