Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #189: The Winter of our Discontent.

Had a nice evening. Ended up meeting a couple people from a beer group I'm in, did some trading at a local taproom. Nice guys. Heard some good things about a new taproom opening up (Chaska MN) as one of the guys is directly involved with it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #189: The Winter of our Discontent.

Howdy Lodge. Happy Monday. Woke up this morning, put on my TV to watch the news, X1 box not working. It was "powering up" and then "Welcoming me" and over and over. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, and left for work. Hopefully it will be working when I get home. Then I walked to the T. They were "experiencing moderate delays" due to a switching problem. Train shows up, packed to the gills. Couldn't get on. Decided to go north to the previous stop to get on the next train before it got to my station. Missed it, so I stayed on the train I was on to take it back in the city. Delays went from "moderate" to "minor." Read on Twitter that delays were due to a) a medical emergency, b) switching problem and then c) disabled train. Pick one and stick with it!! Needless to say, didn't get into the office till 9:30. Way to start off the week!!

Finally got Delta.com to cooperate long enough to get a paper boarding pass printed, so at least I can avoid the kiosk lines at the airport. *whew*

Good Evening Lodge!

This morning was a little iffy. Got a dusting of snow, and the roads were a bit slippery. Didn't really have issues, other than the occasional slip when at a stoplight. That's normal.

Now, SATURDAY....put on about 150 miles....all dry pavement and highways....THAT was fun. Can't wait to get out to the countryside in the future...for the Gopher crowd's annual Houghton trip in summer, we caravan, 5-6 vehicles moving as one unit. THAT will be fun.

I doubt anyone wants to sit in the back of your car for that trip!

The back seat is for decorative purposes only. I knew that when I bought the dang car. ;) Getting that temp permit taped to the back window was a BEECH.
