Just to reiterate: some people should not be within 50 miles of a computer, let alone accounting software. Holy pants...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #189: The Winter of our Discontent.

I'd deal with people that have a clue as to what the hell they're doing, instead of button pushing monkeys.

Most of my job is to corral the button pushing monkeys. We have a conversation about what to do and what not to do, but none of the good ever seems to stick.

Vera's uncle update:

Not good. Struggling to get him off the machines. Body just won't keep the blood pressure stable on its own. Extremely difficult conversations being had.

Ugh.

That's not good. Sounds like it's getting to be his time.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #189: The Winter of our Discontent.

****, just heard a coworker just lost her father today. :(

:( that is no fun.

They put him back on the machines today. If no improvement is shown by the week's end, the difficult conversations turn into a difficult decision. He's pretty clear in his directives. I'm betting he wasn't intending them to come into play at 67, though.

Ugh.

I'm home in bed with the crud or something. Woke up in the middle of the night with a 101 fever. Got up to shower this morning, said screw it and called out. Feeling better now (no fever for the last couple of hours) but very tired. Drinking OJ and tea.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #189: The Winter of our Discontent.

I was approached by a strange man in the restroom today at work which had me worried. Then it turned out to be work related and that had me scared.
