After calling it the bionic ear, do you ever make the Nuhnuhnuhnuhnuhnuhnuhhhhh sound to her from the old Bionic Woman show? And then does she stare back at you with one of those Really, Dad looks?

The (first and) last time I saw you was Oct 2009 at the Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, Alaska!
I haven't decided if we'll go to UVM Friday or Dartmouth Saturday (it's one or the other), but I'm leaning toward Dartmouth because I know I'll see Gutterson a lot while I'm assigned here (with all the Hockey East games there).
There won't be any young AF guys staring at you & your friends all game this time, but at least I'll be able to introduce you to my family!

I concur with your assessment. If it's more than an over-nighter, I think I'd make the 100-mile trip from a Lubbock hotel!

Good luck in the Land of Entrapment.

Also, a warning: Clovis is right on the Mountain/Central time zone line, so your cell phone will occasionally pick up a tower with a time setting one hour off. This can lead you to oversleep an hour if you use your cell phone for your wakeup alarm!

I will be there for 4 days, but will stay in Clovis. Not going to Lubbock or Amarillo each night. I've been to Clovis 5 times already for work over the last 6 years, so I know the ropes. At least I get some meals at Leal's. The hotel is a new Holiday Inn, so that part isn't terrible.

If my math is correct, I have to burn 2 more weeks of PTO this year (already have about 1.5-2 weeks scheduled). DHBoss said he'd assure I get the rest of the days. Now, they will be REALLY random days, since I had previously requested all Mondays and Fridays, and half were denied, and I said that after that, doesn't matter. A Tue off is the same as a Wed or Thu to me.

When I am off, work is gonna SUCK for the others. 2 of my backups are bosses (includes DHBoss) and the 3rd is in Brazil for 3 weeks later this year. :D

Pretty sure this will add to my job security....

I arrived home to find some very wet carpet in my basement. Started investigating and my water softener was overflowing. The drain tube designed to prevent that very situation was apparently clogged. A little jiggle of the drain tube and water starts flowing through it again.

So there's brine water soaked all through the carpet and the base of my wall because the floor clearly doesn't slant the right way all through the mechanical way - the direction of the slope changes a few inches prior to reaching that wall.

Stopped at a nearby sushi place for lunch. Mookie might like some of the staff. No, I'm not posting any pictures, I may want to come back here. Weird little spot in suburban office building.
