It was 80 in the office when I left at 5.

No way for me. I have a hard time wearing my suit coat in the office during the winter. Even in a climate controlled office during the summer a shirt and tie is borderline. No AC? My day would have ended before 5. For the record, I prefer 20 below versus 90 and humid. Every day of the week.

I'm just the opposite. I'd rather sweat than shiver.

With you 100%.

My wife thinks when its like 80 degrees its a good idea to turn off the AC and open windows. Its way too **** hot for that. I'm always having to turn on the AC, turn down the AC and close windows.

Lots of emails and talk amongst the league in the last day or so. Panties are unbunched, I think everything will work out. When you get a group of guys that have been friends for 25+ years, and all have really competitive/fiery personalities...these things can happen.

As for beer, I did go to church yesterday with a couple friends, and did the "Slum Tour." Even the bartender (who knows us) was asking, "Seriously?!" Grain Belt Nordeast and Premo, Chick Golden Light, and Budweiser. :D

Although when I got home, I cracked an $8, 12oz bottle, of Prairie Bomb! which is a phenomenal beer.

Good Morning Lodge.

I think even bb will like the weather this morning. About 58 and low humidity, lovely.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #185: Summer Activities

Good Morning Lodge!

70, humid and raining on and off here. We need the rain.

You've not seen the mosquito infestations we have here. With 11,842 lakes comes a great many mosquitoes. They breed in still bodies of water, and most lakes have those sorts of features to them. The lakes are both a blessing and a curse for this state.
For the first time all summer they're out in full force too. Big mosquitos too.

Mornin' lodge. On my way to sign my contract for my first job which begins July 11th! Very excited about the opportunity! I'll be working in Home Mortgage Consulting! I can sell mortgages all over the US too, FYI!;)

Congrats! Bout time you got a real job. Now you need your own mortgage, 2 kids and a dog - maybe a wife too.:p

Say, Jr needs to ask you some questions about housing near campus for the year after next. He doesn't think he'll be a good fit in a dorm and I agree. One of his HS classmates is going there and they might get an apartment for second year.

Still no A/C at the office. Most likely a major failure. It's 79 in the building, but I'm the only one with a western-facing set of windows with the brains to have them open. Awesome breeze coming in, and my office is at least 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the building.

Thanks les and goldy. At some point hopefully that all falls into place as well, hopefully a wife before the kids.:o

I sent you a Facebook message in regard to Jr. Between myself and my brother, we've lived in four different places near campus through our years in school. Should be able to help.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #185: Summer Activities

I hear, in Mankato, the best places to live are the closest places to Blue Bricks and Pagliai's.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #185: Summer Activities

Jr. Goldy is going to Mansucko state?

Yes. They offer Automotive Engineering and he/we can afford it with no loans. He will go one year to Normandale as they offer MSUM classes there at about $9K less/year when he lives at home. We are making him pay for the first 2 years of school and we have convinced him to not go into debt for his education. If he does well, we'll pay the rest of his school cost. His grades/ACT would not get him into UMN and he/we couldn't afford it without loans. They also don't have the automotive major. I still suspect he'll change majors before he's done, no one has ever done that before though.;) I think he'll likely end up in some sort of finance major as his mom's genes take over.
