Good morning Lodge. On my flight to DFW, connecting to OKC, where the wind comes rushing down the plain. Or whatever. Hoping the weather there is nicer than here. I packed for that. No screaming babies that I've seen. Or heard. #smallvictory

I saw a JetBlue ad where there we 4 babies on the plane and if all 4 cried everyone got a free ticket. The last one cries as they are landing and everyone cheers.

Made me think of you! :D

Little too spendy for what I want. I just want something fun and interesting I can take on back roads through the mountains without breaking the bank, not try to become The Stig.

Some say he hides in the Rocky Mountains plotting his return... Others say his Ritalin supply is getting low...

I saw that, too, and it wasn't clear if that was a policy moving forward (unlikely) or just a special thing they did for that ad. Because they'd go bankrupt if that was their policy moving forward. A friend posted it on Facebook. She has two young boys and one of them has a mild form of autism, so I can sympathize. But she also posted she didn't give a hoot about what people thought. I held my tongue. Or rather, fingers. I get where she's coming from but I when the feeling isn't reciprocal, well, that's just as bad.

People with that attitude are completely inconsiderate and don't deserve any kind reprieve. People shouldn't bring babies on planes until they're old enough to know how to shut the **** up and act like a civilized human being.

I'll definitely forgive any child who has an issue like autism, and their parents. No problem. But it's not really smart to bring a baby on a friggin' plane. Sure, there MAY be an exception or two (say, a funeral situation that the family needs to fly to), but just for a vacation? Nope.

I'm of this belief as well. Particularly vacations that the little screamers will not remember 10 years down the road (I'm looking at you, Disney.)

I'd much rather sit next to a screaming baby than some slob who doesn't know what deodorant is...

It's easier when your headphones are newer than the ones that came with your Sony Walkman....:D

Heck, I'd imagine Brent is still USING his Sony Walkman while flying!

Honestly, crying babies have never really bothered me. Probably helps that I'm in the exit row more often than not with Southwest, which gives me atleast a little buffer. I also tend to fly back to work on late(r) flights, which are less likely to have young ones.

So, I shouldn't get to have a vacation because I have two small children?

They are. And they are actually awesome. They are no "Beats By Dre" or anything, but they are not Target generics.

I'm a Sennheiser guy myself. My main pair is a set of 558s with the foam removed (essentially turns them into 598s which are $75 more. Same drivers, speakers, and everything. That piece of foam taped to the inside of the speaker is the only difference. Not kidding.)
