Lacrosse season off to a great start - both for the boy and his team.

Currently ranked #1 in the state and 4-0. Our closest game was beating the 7th ranked team by 9.

The boy is getting a good amount of playing time. He's a defensive specialist and faceoff center middy. Plays man down too (penalty kill).

His faceoff percentage is in the mid 80s and he's 3rd on our team. The top two guys are the best two in the state and are in the mid 90s. An embarrassment of riches and a huge advantage to win so many possessions.

Nice to have a good role on such a stacked team. There's 30 guys on the roster and maybe 10 of those barely ever see the field.

That said, you could eliminate our starting 10 and we'd still be a very good team.

Complacency is our biggest threat this season.

If some of the computer weather models I'm seeing turn out to be true, you may see the ultra-rare TwitchCON 1.

Looking like Denver will be too warm and we'll just see rain, but if enough cold air shows up...they're saying 3 feet of snow in April. Not even Houghton pulled that on me.

3 feet of snow in April...now that sounds like Maryland weather, but only once every 5 - 10 years.

Gorgeous weather today, and it's supposed to be like this for the next few days. Lovin' it.

Bad news, though. The CD player in my Jeep finally is conking out. The volume works, and it can play the CD that is in there (thankfully it's a burned one that has a crapload of songs), and that's about it. To be fair, it cost me $50 about 12-13 years ago, so it had a good run. Just need to replace it so I can have more options for music/radio in weather like this. Yes, I have an MP3 player, but haven't tried that option since the player started having problems.

Well, Grand Forks was quite a great time last weekend and it was nice to see North Dakota finally get it done. I was 7 the last time they won a National Championship.

Nice to finally have some good weather here too!
