Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

Had a supervisor with me while doing it. :(

UAA's Women's Basketball Team goes 33-2, wins their regular season and postseason conference titles, beats 4 of the other 7 teams in their regional during the regular season, twice ranked #1 in the country and ends up a #2 seed and doesn't get to host their Regional?  The NCAA sucks.

You really didn't plan that out well at all.

As for the NCAA? Not surprising at all.

Good Morning, MEUSA! :)

Good Morning to the rest of tLodge! :)

Hockey banquet last night.

The boy won Most Improved as voted on by peers and coaches. One of 4 individual awards.

I don't agree from a skill/will standpoint as he's the same kid, but he easily made the biggest jump from last season in terms of expanded role and impact on the game.

Nice for him to get recognized. He earned it.

Lacrosse tryouts start today.

Congrats.

Good morning Lodge.

When did cleats get so expensive?

Do Lacrosse players use cleats geared more towards football or soccer in design?

Used to wear football cleats, but now they have lacrosse specific ones.

These were high tops and he couldn't possibly get by with a lesser model, blah... blah... blah...

:D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #183: The Final Approach To Off-Season

Out of curiosity I looked at soccer cleats. Most were $125 to $150, high end ones were $300!

I did a Google search on cleats Lacrosse and found men's sizes priced from $39 up to $140. The Under Armor high tops that go a good ways up the shins look to be like Lacrosse versions of hockey skates, but they're also the $140 version. They also look a lot like a hybrid between football and soccer cleats, based upon their cleat pattern.

The UA ones are what we got.

I pick my fights. ;)
