Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #181: Holidaze

Good Evening, Lodge!

Current boss sat down with my fellow co-worker and myself to discuss the situation in the bindery department. Both of us flat out said that the person currently in that position is not working too well. We want our current boss to leave us in the best situation as possible once he retires. We sit in meetings to discuss current jobs, and my co-worker sits there looking like a deer in the headlights. They keep asking for full time, but they do not prove it. An axe might fall tomorrow.

"Little to no OT"
"Oh, we're taking on an additional 25% business from HQ tomorrow."

*sigh* Same ol' same ol'.

Looking forward to the weekend.

The wind here is BRUTAL. Otherwise, it'd be rather nice.
We had a brutal wind yesterday, wind speed was high enough we had to shut down operations on the ramp (cargo aircraft have massive cargo doors that don't play well in the wind).

50 days left. Tick tock.

Lil coming home for break tonight and we are decorating the tree. Then it will be Christmas

Good Morning Lodge. I just accepted the offer at the new place, now to give notice and work out the end/start dates and transition plan.

Congrats, hope it works out.

Two "next stage" interviews lined up for me, including one downtown next Tuesday. Recruiter may have overplayed his hand on that one, as all indications are that I might be the only decent and willing candidate they have found for this role. If it goes well, I'm prepared to play some hardball.

Congrats Goldy!

as in extra benefits or just more sweet sweet cash?

I was able to align my in person interview with a time I'll be a lot closer to town. So only a 3 hr drive instead of 8.
