Howdy Lodge peeps. Off today. At my hair salon getting my hair cut and colored. Heading to my usual Thursday place tonight with my friends for our annual holiday drinks, dinner and gift swap. I hope hottie bartender will be there. His dad passed away a couple of weeks ago. I haven't been in forever.

Went to the US Hockey Hall of Fame induction ceremony/dinner last night. Got Chris Drury to sign a couple of jerseys for mookie. Because I'm that kind of person. :)

Tomorrow I'm going to to see the Michigan State/Northeastern basketball and hockey doubleheader. Should be interesting.

So, got a call from DHeadBoss today; yes it's my day off. He wanted me to hear the info straight up instead of coming into work on Monday and hearing it from the ol' knitting circle: NewBoss (one of the team leads) resigned, and his last day is in a couple weeks. Total shocker, to be sure. Not sure how everything is going to shake out at this point.

Regardless of how things shake out it's pretty cool he took the time to call you.
I had a boss who did this for me once and I was very appreciative.

Your time would be so much better spent at a theater watching Star Wars instead. You know, doing the important things in life instead of helping people extend their time on this planet.

I'm thinking of sneaking in a showing at 0930 on Christmas Eve... :) This evening, my sedated patient was treated to the audio of Happy Gilmore during her bath as I found it after the Bruins game.

I am kind of split on this. He could have talked to me on Mon morn (I start 30 minutes before everyone else, who are in a different building; I only have 1 other person in the morning at my building). But, this was a big enough event to warrant a quick phone call, given the level of person leaving.

When I have a day off of work, I want a day off of ALL work-related things. Hence, it being a day off. :)

And Clown and ewe: I might see if I can watch the new Star Wars again tomorrow, just because. I'm sure I missed a few things. Once you see it, there are some interesting things being bandied about in the Star Wars thread (spoilers, duh).

I can understand that. I don't like to be contacted by work when I'm off - especially since it means that they're usually asking if I can come in.

That's what I was afraid of, given that only 3 people (one being DHeadBoss, the other being the 2nd team lead) know my job.

And I won't be seeing Star Wars again tomorrow. Only tix available are $17. F that.
