Is anyone else having an issue posting using the Quick Reply button? I tried to use the Quote function and it didn't work at all.

No problems on my end using the quote and quick reply buttons. Running IE11, if that helps.

Afternoon.

Phone interview went well enough that they want an in person meeting later this month.

Pleased with that.
Yay!

no but I am having a party time with all my programs. First Google Chrome wouldn't open. So I restored to a previous date. Now that opens and Microsoft office erroring and won't open. They want me to reinstall. I have a crap load of stuff stored in there. Scared to try and can't do anything without. :( I am a sad panda

What do they want you to reinstall? If it's just MS Office, save your work to a non MS Office folder and the data will be 100% safe. If it's your OS, save the data to a clean thumb drive or an external HDD and it will be safe.

An addendum to this: If the files are in your My Documents folder, they're already safe. The MS Office uninstall/reinstall will only delete content within folders directly created by that program suite.

That's your problem. You have to clear all of your cookies. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #181: Holidaze

I just read the link/headline, "Planet Earth Braces For ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ To Make Intergalactic B.O. History."

My first reaction was to wonder why the nerds smell so badly. Then I agreed with them because a lot of those guys how with Dirty in his mom's basement, and then I finally realized B.O. stood for box office.

Finally got an offer from one of the companies I interviewed with recently. It's not knocking my socks off. If I'm reading their health insurance stuff right it could add $7k/yr to my current costs, obliterating the raise they're offering.

Good luck.

Oy. Well, it depends on how miserable and/or unstable your current situation is, and if you think there's a greater potential for growth, financially and/or career-wise. Good luck.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #181: Holidaze

Not really. Look at the fanbase you're the "best" of. ;)

Like I said, I'm pretty much awesome. :D

Yeah, okay, my team's fanbase is pretty long on the short bus crowd. Funny thing is, I say that and about half of my fellow alums agree with me and the other half swear up and down that it's not true. One fine looking young woman in my office even tried to tell me that she went to SCSU because of its high academics. I replied to her that I went there because I dinked around through most of high school and slept through about half of my ACT exams, and it was the "best" school that would take me. She stopped talking to me. That happens. A lot.

Considering LWB calls the fanbase the "Helmet Kids".....I think that speaks volumes. :D

Funny thing is, we had some pretty smart students at SCSU, they were just drowned out by the Helmet Kids, like my two roommates who thought Washington, DC was located within the state of Washington. Or my roommate from the year prior who almost flunked out of Social Science 104 (very easy class).

On the "genius" side of it all, though, we do lay claim to the guys who started company that puts up ads over men's room urinals. The alumni mailer spotlighted them one time. The CEO of my company is also an SCSU alum, and he's doubled the stock price of a company that was doing really well in the first place.

...And then there's Tim Conboy...

Huge media production school, too, if my understanding is correct.

Either way, to get into SCSU, you just need a library card. ;)
