Does anybody know anything about 8 mm films here? I was poking around our basement tonight and I stumbled across some 8mm films that had belonged to my grandmother at one time. Not really sure what we have, but would be interested in trying to figure out what the heck we got there.

I believe Nic Cage can help you with those. :D

Yeah, okay, my team's fanbase is pretty long on the short bus crowd. Funny thing is, I say that and about half of my fellow alums agree with me and the other half swear up and down that it's not true. One fine looking young woman in my office even tried to tell me that she went to SCSU because of its high academics. I replied to her that I went there because I dinked around through most of high school and slept through about half of my ACT exams, and it was the "best" school that would take me. She stopped talking to me. That happens. A lot.

Sounds familiar....but substitute UMD. :)

I think that reflects more on her own background than it does SCSU.

Sure, it has high academics...if "average" academics is Bumfck County CC. ;)

So, new neighbors moved in upstairs. Loud, moving noises last night, second night in a row. I was about to go up there, or leave a note. Instead I emailed the condo association and asked them to email them. And they did. And I just got a visit from the wife. And her 2 year old. And she brought me a pie to apologize. A pie!! She was very sweet. We had a great talk. See? Now that I know them, that makes it easier for me. And she felt awful about it. I told her I didn't mean to be "that neighbor", but it was difficult to sleep, etc. I'm just really glad they weren't jerks about it like the previous tenants. I gave her daughter one of my Greek Christmas cookies. I may bring up a little gift for them.

Dear DHeadBoss,

You see I'm swamped. You know what it is like, having worked at offsite before. We both know a printer is down, no big deal at the moment. SO STOP CALLING ME EVERY 3 MINUTES TO SEE IF IT'S WORKING. AND ALL THE PHONE CALLS YOU MADE TO ME (5 in total, in 15 minutes) COULD HAVE BEEN COVERED IN 1 4 MINUTE PHONE CALL. I'm trying to f*ing get my job done, you A*HOLE!

Sincerely,

The HMS Offsite, aka Pirate Hoven*

*The other guy that I work with and I agree we are like the pirates of the company. We can bend the rules to get our sh* done, since we never get help. Are often forgotten about (I don't even know if one guy at the main building is on a long term vacation or just doesn't work there anymore, etc etc). And generally we are totally on our own.

That being said, so glad the week is half over.

Good Morning Lodge from drizzly St. Louis, or suburb thereof.

Negotiating with one firm while these guys want my help for the next 4+ weeks. Hate to do it to them, but...

S'upp y'all

It used to be the snow, but it's falling now.

Oh, and we seem to have had thunder snow just a short bit ago. It might have been something crashing to the ground, but it would've had to have been something on the huge side of the spectrum of big.

Was just about to drive through the Lowry tunnel when lightening flashed, very bizarre!
