Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #180: Holiday Onslaught

I normally leave my house at 7:45 and get into work at 8:30. Today I left the house at 7:30 and arrived in the office at 9:00. It went better than expected as it took me almost 30 minutes to get from my house to the park and ride a mere 7.5 miles from my house.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #180: Holiday Onslaught

Mollie? Totally calling you that now.

All these people who have been wishing and hoping for snow....I'm sending goldy's post to them and telling them all to FOAD. I am totally not looking forward to winter. At all. Looks like it will be OK here for the next 10 days or so. I'm driving to Connecticut for the Yale/QPac series and driving home after that game so it better be nice or I'm not going.

Had a dentist appointment at 8:30 this morning that I completely forgot about until I saw my reminder postcard last night I had put on my fridge. Had to get up early. I'm really tired after the weekend. I should've gone to bed earlier than I did. And I didn't even watch the Patriots game.

Denver got another 3 inches overnight. The commute was a nightmare.

9 News reports that in terms of converted precipitation, this has been the fourth wettest November in Denver's recorded history.

Yeah, I complain having survived Houghton, but at least Houghton didn't blow smoke up my *** about "300 days of sunshine" every chance it got.

Good Afternoon, Lodge!

Dam MnDOT! They knew snow was coming. No pretreat. Normally a 30-35 minute commute turned to 75 minute commute. Pure ice on 494 and Hwy 61.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #180: Holiday Onslaught

You Minnesotans sure are whiny about a bit of snow. Like it's never happened before. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #180: Holiday Onslaught

Autocorrect misspelled Molly. Meaning you've used Mollie before!

It's amazing how stupid the drivers here are during the first snowstorm of the season. They completely forget how to do winter driving over the course of the summer. The streets are still above freezing, and the air temp was still around 32F. The wet areas where you can see the pavement of the roads were not going to have ice under them, but the snowy spots might. What do you do? You follow the wet areas, pay attention, and drive faster than 10MPH.

Hawks swept, Vikings won, and my cousin placed 35th in the Midwest in Irish Dancing, so she gets to compete at Nationals in Orlando.

Local MSP? Who does she dance with? My daughter danced with a couple girls from BSM who are probably your age.

Some co-workers from Cottage Grove to to Maplewood had almost two hour commutes. Normally 15-20 minutes and apparently the entrance ramp from 70th to 61 was closed at some point. Complete cluster.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #180: Holiday Onslaught

Traffic was terrible this morning. Love winter and snow, but these drivers need to remove their heads from their rectums.

Crying baby count: 3. We haven't taken off yet (are waiting for connecting passengers even though our flight was supposed to take off 15 minutes ago). Hope they hold my next flight for me.

Wish I could stay in Houston. Should be home around midnight. Tomorrow is going to Tuesday so hard.
