Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #180: Holiday Onslaught

Only if you buy a ticket for it. Which I did not. And the train is stopped due to mechanical issues. Greeeeeaaat. Busiest travel day of the year and I have to get on the one train they obviously didn't check. Was really looking forward to getting home around noon. I have food shopping to do and wanted to do some cooking. I bet I won't get home before 3. For that amount of a commute time I could have spent way less and taken a bus.

Are you on an Acela or a standard train? On a standard train anyone can sit in the quiet car. It does cost extra to use the business class car. I don't know about the Acela.

I'm on the Acela. You know, the high speed train. That lost power outside of New Haven and now we're 90 minutes behind schedule and riding backwards all the way home. Sitting in front of a woman who is freaking out about that and is complaining of motion sickness. Almost worse than a screaming baby.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Flying back to home today. Well, I guess it is really not flying when the flight is only 45 minutes. Either way, it will be good to get home again.

Scheduled to arrive in Boston at 11:45 and now due at 1:46. That's over two hours late now.

Edit: Arrived at 1:35.

It arrived at Back Bay Station at 1:30! Was home about 2:05. Went food shopping. Had lunch. Paying bills and I have a marathon ironing session planned for tonight.

Sitting at the HHT with a sweep tonight. Sounds like it was a sloppy game, but a win is a win is a win.

The score did not indicate the play, from what I was hearing on the radio, and the commentary from fellow Gopher fans in the live-chat on GPL.

I don't know, just heard the Wally and Frank show, and they tend to be very forgiving in their commentary on sloppy play. With a 7-4 final, I'm and them stating it would've been 2-2 if you take out the PPGs and ENG, and sounds like a some really bad PK play to me.

Horrible PK play. IIRC, SCSU was 6-9 on the weekend, 4-5 tonight.

SCSU also hit 4 pipes (insert joke here).

*HT for me.

Hawks swept, Vikings won, and my cousin placed 35th in the Midwest in Irish Dancing, so she gets to compete at Nationals in Orlando.

Morning, guys!
Morning, Lodge!

The hours are crawling, but this stretch is almost over!!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #180: Holiday Onslaught

Good Morning Lodge.

Snowmageddon got here early so the commute in was a cluster *. MNDOT didn't pre-treat the roads it appears so the first couple inches of wet snow rapidly turned to ice. The first curve on the freeway (62 for locals) that I hit had about 10-12 cars on the grass/shoulder/wrapped in the guard rail. It did not get much better after that. I left 10 minutes early and got in 15 minutes late, so pretty much turned a 25 minute commute into 50 for me.
