Good Morning Lodge.

Obviously I am old enough that I learned to drive with a 3 on the tree. My first two cars were manuals as well, but my last manual was a Mazda pick up from like '88-'91 or so. Driving a stick in stop and go traffic in the DC area and then the TC cured me of wanting a stick for a commuter car. Good thing I had automatic when I was recovering from my ankle surgery. The top race cars are now automatics and automatics show better gas mileage than manuals these days. Still fun drive a sporty car with a stick though.

Best of luck with the family stuff.

For those of you keeping score from home........little g had a seizure back in early September of 2014. Around 11:30 last night he had his second. F an a.

Ugh. Hope things pan out.

Took a nap, woke up and all power was out for a couple miles. Headed to local eatery for some rattlesnake/rabbit brats.

Good morning, but I'm sure I'll go back to bed at some point. Half my apt has power. Fridge works, but have to use the glow of my cell phone screen to use the bathroom. Thankfully the interwebs still work. Those were some decent storms last night.

How is it possible to have half your apartment have power? Does an emergency generator power part?

10 months apart, eh?

At Manchvegas airport waiting for my flight back to the Tampa Jungle. Great to escape the heat/humidity and follow the DownEast Seafood Diet for a few days.

FWIW: Gonna endorse a bakery based out of Maine/Mass. When Pigs Fly, you can order loaves online from www.sendbread.com. Absolutely delicious, and very reasonable prices. Check it out.

I have no clue. I think a circuit breaker or something was tripped at first. A little while later, all the power in the area was lost for a couple hours. And it was a wide area, too. For the locals, between Hopkins Crossroads and 169 (and a little more east) south of 394 was dunzo.

We were under a heat advisory, forecast for 92 degrees and 100+ heat index, and then the clouds rolled in a couple hours ago and that seems to be keeping us in the mid-80s.

That is what we had yesterday; that was supposed to be today. They lowered the temp forecast today, but the DP is still about 70, so blech. The DP is supposed to drop significantly as the day goes on, though, getting back to the 50s by later tonight.

Beautiful day here in 320ville. It was supposed to be hot and humid with a heat index near 100. Not so much. 80 and windy and hardly a trace of humidity. Perfect.

Starting Monday we will be camping quite a bit. I hope the humidity crawls back into the hole it came from.

little g is doing pretty good. He is absolutely wiped out though. Seizures must just kick the shiat out of a person.

Former Gopher Brady Skjei and the g family have a mutual friend. A couple weeks ago Brady heard about little g and just based on hearing about his story Brady felt compelled to reach out to little g. They have exchanged a couple emails since. Anyways........it's weird how things play out sometimes. Little g obviously had a rough night and a difficult day. He received a delivery today. A signed stick from Brady Skjei. He was absolutely pumped when he opened it. Given it had goofer germs all over it I quickly grabbed it and burnt it. Whew! Close call. Little g was instantly back to having a rough day once again.

Awesome about Skjei. Gives me faith that there are athletes out there like that, instead of what we hear on the news (yes, I know the bias of finding a story). I cannot imagine what a seizure does to a person, but glad to hear he sounds okay overall. If you allow best wishes from a dirty, arrogant Gopher fan, please pass them on from yours truly. :)

Apparently, bro and his new woman scored main "floor" tix to the Chesney concert at Target Field today. So I guess you can say it's getting pretty serious. /NapoleonDynamite

Yes, they do. I had mine during a bout of viral meningitis about 10 years ago. I don't remember anything about it, but when I woke up in ICU the next day, I was still wiped. Hope he's recovering quickly.

Here's hoping the little g gets back to normal quickly.

Went to see Minions tonight. The main supervillainess is named Scarlet Overkill (voiced by Sandra Bullock)... couldn't help but thinking about our own beloved Scarlet. ;)

I can say, from personal experience, don't pi** off Scarlet. ;) She's a fiesty one. But a sweetheart overall. :)

First time Sandra Bullock played a villain.

Saw the movie last week when Vera's niece was in town. Jon Hamm is a great voice actor. Can't tell it's him.
