Here's hoping the little g gets back to normal quickly.

Went to see Minions tonight. The main supervillainess is named Scarlet Overkill (voiced by Sandra Bullock)... couldn't help but thinking about our own beloved Scarlet. ;)

No way!! Ha ha! I'm planning to see that movie next weekend. I love the minions.

Happy Sunday Lodge. Going to be a hot and humid one here today. I'm going to the beach. I'm meeting friends for a birthday dinner at the restaurant at one of the beaches I go to. None of them wanted to hang on the beach during the afternoon. Oh well. I'll go on my own. Doing a quick load of laundry, just finished breakfast, going to take out the trash and recycling and then go food shopping before I head there.

Morning Lodge. Lovely day here

Had a nice time on the patio with our new patio furniture last night. Turned out to be a very pleasant evening as the dewpoint finally dropped over the day Had Mrs's friends over to celebrate the birthday with wine and cheesecake:D.

Going to the track today to watch Jr try and drive a racecar. I should video it and get it up on FB for giggles by all.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Craft and Art Fair today in Minneapolis. It is across the street from the Basilica.

That's hipster territory in that case....

When I'm with good company, I can ignore hipsters in pursuit of good beer. Actually, when I'm with really great company, we would openly mock hipsters while in pursuit of good beer.

1st Anniversary today. Went out for a nice dinner, and then to the Shout House after last night. This morning we watched the 3rd round of The Open. Now we're going to go grocery shopping to get stuff to make a special homemade dinner tonight. Late afternoon we're going to try to play some golf. Good weekend back home.

Lonely Blonde? Sweet Child of Vine? Randonneur? Libertine? WHICH ONE I NEED TO KNOW.

Maitrise FTW, IMO. Although Libertine and Lonely Blonde are quite good.

Movie day for me. Mostly packed for Houghton, too, since the clothes I wear outside of work are a completely different...style, shall we say, even though overall it's all t-shirts and blue jeans.

hope the little g is doing better!

Old people days this weekend. Last night went to a retirement party for Mr les mentor. Today pre hockey golf tournament BBQ. H.H.H. here. Miserable. black outside but no rain. Ugh, ugh, ugh!

Well, I either scared Jr too much, or just enough with talk of the consequences of a wreck. He drove super cautious and therefore slow. Mrs thought it was perfect, I would have preferred that he open it up a little more.

Sounds fun. What kind of car and what kind of track?

I have to admit, while also admitting I did a lot of stupid things as a young driver, I would have taken caution on every turn, but I would have still opened it up on the straightaways (assuming it was a sort of oval track).

A NASCAR "stock" car, a Camaro chassis I think. Oval dirt track. Way too dam much sitting around waiting. He was scheduled for a 3 PM drive, he got in a car about 5:15. He did a ride along with a pro driver first, then the solo run. I really thought he'd open it up after he got the feel, but he never did. Said he kept thinking about the $15K a wreck could cost.

I'd be thinking about my personal well-being more than the money, but his thinking is understood. :)
